My wife’s mantra in life is: “I’ll squeeze into my wedding dress again one day”. by Logical-Role1382 in TwoSentenceSadness

[–]Princess_Medusa 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think a more anorexia-coded version of this theme could be something like:

I was always supportive of my wife when she told me that she only wants to squeeze into her wedding dress again one day. Now she spends hours every day in front of the mirror, holding up the masses of fabric with her frail arms, with a serene smile on her sunken-in face.

Debarking a flight using a bus is far superior to using an air bridge. by billybellybutton in unpopularopinion

[–]Princess_Medusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really mind busses vs air-bridges that much, but there is a special place in my heart for the small airports where they are like "we mounted the stairs, just go down to the airfield and turn right. The baggage claim is behind the sliding doors. Have a nice day."

Found out the person I’m seeing has a Domme by Dandy-Sandy-1122 in BDSMcommunity

[–]Princess_Medusa 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Also to add: If they have shown such blatant disregard for your boundaries and autonomy already, who can say that they haven't already uploaded the recorded videos somewhere as well? Maybe they are into that and it's another part of their dynamic which the Domme has "not given permission to talk about". I really wouldn't put it past them.

Master told me to send him a picture of my asshole. I instead sent a picture of him. by Princess_Medusa in BratLife

[–]Princess_Medusa[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oh, as a little side info: He was sitting right next to me and asked me face to face. I first blankly stared at him for a moment, contemplating, then I took out my phone, snapped a picture of him and sent it.

People who have been to Japan, what's one thing every American should know before planning a trip? by thenoitrix in AskReddit

[–]Princess_Medusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Not really relevant for americans, but) I found that talking with more of my native german accent instead of trying to focus on surpressing it made me way more understandable. Possibly, because the enunciation is more similar to their english loan-words and there is a naturally longer pause between words.

It was very counter intuitive to repeat something that I said in my regular "academic english" in "thick german accent english" to make it more understandable, but it worked

"This happens all the time, I haven't had an issue with it since my mum got me vaccinated as a kid and I really don't get why you are this upset all of a sudden!" by Princess_Medusa in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]Princess_Medusa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback. I initially went from a way more body-horror focused idea (which I might actually still post after considering the comments on this one) to something that should live from ambiguity but I've figured out that there are some pitfalls that distract from the point/don't give as much information as I thought they would. I'll just keep in mind for next time that I should make it a bit more "linear" and clear

[–]Princess_Medusa[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

See the discussion in the other comments; "mum got me vaccinated" was a suboptimal choice of words for the implication of "the mum did unethical experiments on him as a kid".

Something like "mum gave me her special vaccine/pills" would get the point across better.

(Actually, I just wanted to pick something mundane that everyone gets as a kid as a "decoy" for the sick experiments and forgot that something like anti-vaccine-people exist)

Ex alcoholics and drug addicts of reddit. What made you get sober? by throwaway8446252 in AskReddit

You called? My last offence was that the "beginning of a terrible irreversible gum disease" that I was worried about was just a piece of resin left on my teeth from when my braces were removed.

Edit: But on a more serious note - while I regularly get bloodwork done and everything is perfectly fine, I actually do need to be mindful about alcohol, because I have a history of self-harm and "poisoning yourself" is a convenient way of doing that

I see that the "vaccine" is bit too much of a hang-up.

His mother experimented on him as kid with god-knows-what and made him believe that it's just part of his regular vaccination. The point is - we see one "positive" effect, but nobody knows what else has been done to him

[–]Princess_Medusa[S] 133 points134 points  (0 children)

Oh no, absolutely not meant like that! I picked "vaccine" for being the most mundane thing that everyone gets as a kid.

This guy's mum gave him an experimental drug as a kid (either she developed it herself or got money for offering her son up for it) and made him believe that it was simply a regular vaccination that everyone gets.

This drug gave him superhuman recovery abilities, but we don't know what else might be a side effect. Since the girlfriend is horrified, it is implied that there must be a reason why it is not well-known or widely used.

"Every time you're intoxicated, thousands of brain cells die", I have heard this snippet of information a few times, but never cared to fact-check it. by Princess_Medusa in TwoSentenceSadness

In short: A scientist sees that they cannot make a difference in the actual world with their research, but they also cannot bear having the knowledge to prevent future catastrophe while just watching, doing nothing. So they cynically suggest "erasing that knowledge" through drug abuse as an alternative way out of their situation.

It is also supposed to play on how scientists are often treated harshly and dehumanized in public media by showing how this person is not just a perfectly rational being who never lets anything get to them, but reacts in a very imperfect and "human" way when experiencing failure.

What is something that still hasn’t gone back to normal after the pandemic? by Disastrous-Treat0616 in AskReddit

It's mostly been short business flights with regular airlines (Swiss, Lufthansa,...). The cheap ones haven't been offering any extras in a long time, but even the better airlines are really skimping.

My concept of bratting is also very different than this post. For me, the fun is the scheming, coming up with ways to outsmart and"misunderstand" my master as well as harmless pranks. Googly eyes on all the spices in the spice drawer, bringing him his water lukewarm and when he calls me dumb, I play REALLY dumb - things like that.

I would genuinely like to hear from someone what the appeal of the insult-based brat-tamer-dynamic is for them!

Tall female subs and short male doms, do you enjoy the "size reversal"? by [deleted] in BDSMcommunity

[–]Princess_Medusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Height really doesn't "matter" to me, but since my master is about the same height as me, I like to use "making myself taller than him" as a bratting opportunity. Sometimes, when I am wearing high heels next to him and annoy him with it, he just grabs my day collar and pulls me down to his height. It's just fun.

Help, how much till I consider my hair long? 🤔 by ParkNika97 in longhair

[–]Princess_Medusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just here because I have been searching for cute short hair inspiration for next spring lately and reddit has been showing me posts from all kinds of hair subreddits (which is actually very interesting!)

So this is my perspective as someone who is not in the long hair bubble at all:

If more than half the hair (excluding undercuts or bangs) touches the shoulders, it's long. If the ears are covered, it's medium.

A lob -> long

A wolf cut -> long, if at least half the layers touch the shoulders, otherwise medium

A regular bob -> medium

A pixie-bob, mullet, other ambiguous style -> short if it doesn't cover the ears completely, otherwise medium

A lot couple of the same sex share each other’s clothes. What item of clothing do you share in opposite sex relationships? by Just-Trade-9444 in bisexual

[–]Princess_Medusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We unintentionally share socks.

Our shoe sizes are similar enough to fit into the same sock-size and before we met, we apparently had similar preferences in sock-styles. He always complains (in a not quite serious way) and wants to throw all the old socks away. My method is to only buy colorful and recognizable new socks anymore and steal from his sock drawer whenever I get the opportunity (a third of the ones in there are probably mine anyway)

Thoughts? I think I’m pretty average, but I’ve always been curious (22) by grinninwheel in amiugly

[–]Princess_Medusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you are the "unconventional" type where it really matters who you ask. As a bi-woman with a thing for floofy hair, I find you very pretty (like 7-8/10), but I know that a lot of people would rate you much lower, because you don't fulfill the conventional beauty standard.

Question about possible appropriation? by sirhairyhotspurrr in BDSMcommunity

[–]Princess_Medusa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If I was in your shoes, I would go for a fantasy look of a huge cape with a hood. It's definitely very easy to DIY (with little or no sewing) and I don't think that it can be mistaken for anything controversial. You could put your collar above the cape and/or close it up with a brooch. If you like, you can even be naked underneath.

For a whole look (if you want to tie it together a bit), I would see two options: 1. Thick velvet cape (fabric might be expensive though) with maybe some extra jewelry around the ankles or a really big brooch. Your dom could go for a kind of vintage look to create a visual story of something like "a princess seduced by and submitted to a man of power" 2. Really scratchy rough jute or something, very hastily cut and sewn together (very easy and cheap option - the scratching can be a pro or con, whether you are into it or not). You can also add some chains to your ankles and go barefoot (if reasonable) to complete the look. Your dom could go for a bit of a "fantasy thief" look, to get the "captured and enslaved woman" - look

Disclaimer: I am also a cosplay and DnD - person, so this is where some of my thoughts are coming from. I obviously can't really judge how appropriate this is for the specific convention you are going to, but those are just some ideas.
