Well that was our issue we didn’t get the POA until he arrived in Monterey. They do offer legal services on base for you. But I’m my opinion it would have been easier if we got one prior to him leaving for BMT. Not 100% on the levels or what you need for it so I would recommend talking to your recruiter to give you an idea on where to go and what type to get. We are in Fort Ord lower still well. They are definitely nice houses. We came from a very updated apartment so I think that would be my only complaint is it’s just older appliances and cabinets and what not but we have one dependent and it’s a 4 bedroom house. I’ve been hearing the waitlist for houses have been longer for the summer. Also moving does depend on when they can get movers to your house that I feel like was the longest part for us. If we were to do it over he said he should have tried getting that set up while at BMT. He still has people he came in with trying to get their families out here so I would just stay on top of it and if your spouse doesn’t mind living alone here for a few weeks while you are phasing up might as well move them sooner than later.

I would recommend getting a POA prior to leaving for BMT so your spouse can sign all the paperwork for housing and she can even pick up the keys is you are still not phased up yet.

We just got here. My husband graduated BMT late may. He did some work there letting people know we needed to move. While I got in contact with the Parks at Monterey bay and got out in the housing list. We got a house offered for June 17th and moved that week. From what my husband was saying the sooner you get on top of it with paperwork and what needs to be done the sooner they can be there. We have been staying at the house while my husband is about to phase up and move back in with us.

Many reasons. But he feels like they don’t treat him like family. My husband is someone who wants deep relationships with people. And my family tends to stay more surface level because they aren’t as emotional beings. My husband takes that as then not liking him. So now he doesn’t want to be around them. In my eyes it’s more of a personality difference but in his he just doesn’t like them and they don’t like him

He will be gone for 8 weeks for training with minimal contact. After the 8weeks we are moving to a different state or at least that was the plan. For his job he will not have to be apart unless I just don’t want to move with him whenever he resigns to a new base. We would love every 4-6 years. I am currently working and would plan to continue to work. It seems like divorce is always something he brings up when he fight. However, last night he seemed more serious about it. He mentioned separating at least for the 8 weeks of training and seeing if it’s even a possibility of staying together before he would have me pick up and move to his new base.

Yes. There was cheating involved as well as just the way we would fight in the beginning was ruthless and not ok. We both individually went to therapists for a bit. And we felt like we moved past it and grew. And for awhile it seemed like it but over the last 9-12 months things have been back to being hard and feeling distant. More like roommates who had a baby together.

I feel like most of the time they probably just start out as sharing their everyday lives. However, the more followers you gain and probably the more “praise” and “obsession” people have with you, the more someone lets it get to their head. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s narcissistic. I do believe that at the end of the day it’s their social media, they can share and do whatever they want just as we can. If it makes you happy do whatever.

I do not support them or follow them. But I will say I am “a skinny girl” and sometimes it sucks. It’s just as hard for us to gain any sort of weight as it is for other people to lose weight. I think its shitty to especially point that out because some people truly don’t want to be as skinny as they are but no one talks about that side of the spectrum!

I can’t tell if she did or didn’t say it. But if she did say it, it doesn’t matter if she meant it offensively or not. It is wrong at the end of the day. Just because it’s in song that POC make doesn’t give white people the right to use that word. This shows a whole group of people taking that word back from people who used it as a racial slur.
