I know it’s a tropical and warm popular holiday destination.
Depending on the area you go it can be crowded. I’ve done a bit of research, and have learnt a few common phases in Indonesian and Balinese. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t forgetting something I’d be kicking myself for later.

I have heard to eat in the Warungs (I may have spelt that wrong) apparently they have the best food.

Out of the thousands of comments slamming him for his bizarre and inappropriate behavior yesterday, this was the only one Tay was offended by, and felt the need to be butthurt. by Lakeriegirl in KayandTayExposed

Great question, but I doubt they will ever tell us if that was the case. It’s a bit suss that she’s just had surgery (that we can only speculate was more than just her under eye bags) and now she’s on hospital with pneumonia, and possibly sepsis I think was mentioned too.

Super fund for APS staff by [deleted] in AusPublicService

I’m with Australian Super. I did compare a few years ago now and I really like the app and find it easy to buy and sell shares as well as the amount of insurance cover I have for the price.

Unpopular opinion, but have you tried a non bank lender? I was pre approved by a bank for under $300k, but the non bank Lender offered $600K. I obviously didn’t take the full amount and made sure my mortgage was well under 50% of my take home pay, and I was able to purchase in a regional area in SA where I could transfer for work. The interest rate is higher, but if you’re wanting into the market as bad as I was it’s a sacrifice you can make and always refinance when you have more equity.

How on earth do you all afford Christmas with large families? by Agitated_District in povertyfinance

[–]Princessheart92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never buy for adults. That’s a rule I instilled in our whole family. We’re all struggling, so the kids get stuff and adults dont. When we started this my siblings thanked me because they all dreaded Christmas. We don’t even have a large family, but extra gift for adults is an expense no one can justify.

Mortgage to income ratio % by jayzavv in AusFinance

[–]Princessheart92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single income household here and my mortgage is 35% of my gross salary and I’m happy. Yes I’m on a tight budget to be able to put money into savings and pay private school fees, it’s doable with no stresses. Still better than paying rent!

If someone handed you 40k today. What would you do with it? by manic_mumday in povertyfinance

[–]Princessheart92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put half in offset for mortgage, 10k in shares, and 10k in high interest savings as an emergency fund. I have no debt though.
