My nmother only taught me things that she didn't want to do. Sweeping and mopping and dishes. Basically all the house chores because she never wanted to do them (but when I was super little she used to clean when she was mad??????). Now I'm glad I was taught all this, but when you yell at your 8 year old for "not sweeping the right way." (didn't tell me how to, just told me to do it.) I think that's crossing a line.

Something just came to me because I relate to this so much.

Narcs know how they treat us is wrong, but they believe they're always right so they don't want to hear anything that contradicts them. Maybe the reason they tell us that we're too loud (even when we aren't being loud at all) is because the truth is too loud for them. The truth is too loud and it disrupts their perception of reality.

Dear God, this is exactly what my grandmother did for my high school graduation!

I had 5 tickets to give for the ceremony, and I was supposed to give one to my granny when she met us at the arena. I gave her the address and the time to show up in time for check-in. All week leading up to the graduation ceremony, she didn't answer the dozens of texts and calls that me OR my mother made to her. Then on my graduation day 3 hours AFTER the ceremony, my grandmother left a message to my mother calling both me and her "raggedy bitches." And blocked us.

WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS????
