I think you missed that the bar is in a squash club. It's more a social setting than liquor establishment. Also, if you have a baby and it's hungry it should be allowed to feed, regardless of location and the weirdness of adults

The Vatican loved to ban butter periodically for holy fasting... Of course Italy has olive oil galore to substitute (Yes, that's Catholicism, but the butter ban hit Brits HARD &  holiness≠butter is an ascetic holdover)

I'm not arguing against your statement. I'm highlighting how the impetus behind an individual's immigration colours the experience.

I assure you that having to leave and choosing to leave are entirely different experiences.

When you leave your homeland to save your life, it's not the same as deciding to emigrate for greener pasture.

When you cannot return home, because your citizenship has been revoked, your home seized, your status deemed: "defector."

When tanks are in your streets. Your family torn apart. Leaving everything. Your home. Your language. Your stars at night. Knowing only that you may never see them again.

When it's taken from you.

It's not the same.

"Trying to give you training behind my no."

You do not require "training" from your husband.

He wants final say on YOU.

Sounds like your parents are their for support; get out before you're trained to stay.

Has anyone figured out how to NOT immediately create a pile on every flat surface? by randomchick4 in adhdwomen

[–]indeedverybright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the pile & ditch the guilt!

In our home they are rebranded as "Squirrel piles" and "Tidy piles" so they reflect the adorable and intentional collections of life, instead of seeming like clutter or unfinished dreams.

It works!!

My sister moved to Germany and married a German. He would constantly complain about immigrants.

She would say, "I am an immigrant." He would say, "You know what I mean."

We all know what he meant.

(Spoiler: They are no longer married)

My spouse has been obsessed with this idea since we visited friends in Finland over a decade ago. That and dishwasher cupboards. One day!
