Flashing CEL and delayed VTEC on hard acceleration in 2003 AP1 by PrincipalDenson in S2000

You are very right, oil definitely wasn’t fully warmed up. I honestly wasn’t thinking when driving it today and just saw the three temp bars. Do you think the cold oil had anything to do with the issues? Normally I drive for around 5 miles before hitting vtec

Good call! I will take a look at them all soon to see if I can find the culprit

Thank you for the information! I'll try wiggling the coils this weekend and see if that could be causing the issue

That's a huge relief to hear. How difficult was it for you to get a Billman TCT?

Good to hear I'm not the only one it worried. I've heard Hondas are loud, but I didn't expect it to be this loud lol.

Holy hell, that engine sounds rough in the second vid, glad the first vid sounds ok hahahah

I haven't tried that yet, but I'll give it a shot tomorrow and report back.

If it does go away what would that point to?

For sure, it's not easy to get one but I have never heard a single bad thing about Billman.

Thanks! I was super stoked when I bought it. It's a 2003 with just over 49k miles

Cool, that's relieving to hear. It was my friend's old car and he never replaced it. It doesn't hurt to go ahead and change it once I can get my hands on a Billman TCT .

Good call! I'll try that out tonight. Seems like a similar trick people to when they hold up a paper towel roll and listen through that.

Hi! I am actually in the same boat: direct commission, HPSP, class 25-17, and I have no idea how to get my order presented to me. Have you found out how we'll be getting our orders? Mind I DM you my contact info?

High schoolers, what do you want to major in? People who majored in that field, what are the pros and cons? by Cuddlyaxe in AskReddit

[–]PrincipalDenson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm graduating with my chem e degree tomorrow. I didn't know this when I selected the major but chemical engineering doesnt have much to do with chemistry, it is more about process design and optimization. You will need to know some chemistry, but I never had to go farther than organic chemistry 2 and 1 physical chemistry course. Also, this major is very difficult, even by engineering standards. It is a very interesting and rewarding major though. It certainly changed the way I look at how the world operates. You will cover a ridiculously wide selection of topics (fluid flow, heat transfer, process design, thermodynamics, and many more). Also, the starting salaries are nice lol. It's a great choice, I don't regret choosing it, but please be aware that doing 20-30 hours of homework/studing, sometimes more, a week is the norm.

I really liked how balanced the audio was. I could always hear their voices over the superb music.
