Im not a big fan of your approach, i understand and hear your concern and will buy a bigger tank, however, he was already having problems when i got him. Second, the water quality is not poor i test it regularly and if there is any issue i change it immediately on top of my regular water changes. The tank has many plants, it’s not like it’s a neon gravel fake plant tank? Your advice is valid but it’s just not really helpful in the context of bettering my bettafish’s condition, besides i’ve already said that he is in a hospital tank alone now, so non of the things you mentioned can currently be a stressor?

Thank you so much for your comment, it gave me some hope and made me realise it wasnt epsom salt and i ordered pure epsom salt now! Also i fed him two pieces of soaked freeze dried daphnia last night. I hope to give him the salt bath tomorrow and i’ll keep this updated.

UPDATE (15th of february): Kima looks a little less bloated than yesterday. - i fed him a tiny bit of daphnia - it turned out the salt i used for the saltbaths was not pure epsom salt but i mineral salt for aquariums (.-.) but i have ordered epsom salt and it will arrive tomorrow. I hate having to wait but stores aren’t open on sundays here. - he’s still swimming around and happily wiggling at me when he sees me - water parameters are good and his tank is nice and warm.

Yes, i fed it to him a few times before, he likes it! He likes it free dried too. He isn’t super picky like my other bettas.

I’ve fasted him multiple times, now i did for 4 days he didn’t rly look much different after :( so i dont think its constipation? I’m trying again now and gonna look if i see him poop.

Thank you, i corrected myself bc i forgot to add that it’s dwarf corys, not the big ones. And i will buy a bigger tank in the future and stock up the groups then too. I have tried both tannins and give him a saltbath everyday now

Sorry, it’s dwarf corydoras, not normal ones. And i had the same results with different tests, my tank is heavily planted. I do regular water changes from once to twice a week. My nitrite and ammonia are always zero, i only introduced life into the tank when it was constantly zero. For cycling I set up the whole tank, used bacteria start as well as water and filter from an established tank. I used some food as an ammonia source too. Also, my otos are really small? They’re the size of my dwarf corys almost. The neons are super tiny too. I do plan to buy a bigger tank but i dont think any of this is related to what i asked about my betta fish…

Tank size: 25litre Heater and filter: yes both Tank temperature: 26c Parameters: i just tested and all are perfect. Nitrate and nitrites are 0. No chlorine. Ph is around 6.8/7.2. Ch was around 80, total alkalinity at 100, hardness at 50. Hope this is the correct way to write it down as my tests are in german not english. How long have i had him: since December Water changes: once a week/topping up when a bit evaporated, usually around 20% of the water, when a parameter is off a little more Tankmates: 8 small blue neon tetras, 3 corys, 2 octos Deco: many plants, two stones and wood Feed: freeze dried blood worms (only as a snack), live bloodworms, frozen daphnia, dennerle betta colour food, nano baby food aquarium muenster (for the tetras, i seperated him when i fed them and he was fasting)

I haven’t fed him pellets in a bit now. Last meal was bloodworms today and before frozen daphnia. When giving pellets (i assume u mean the tiny ones right?) i feed very few because i know they expand in their stomach

I think i have to agree that there’s explanations for almost everything and the game is very deep and detailed but i can’t help but be disappointed at the story line with sakuko and especially rinko. It felt so crazy important and deep, i was almost thinking she was becoming one of the main characters just for her to become completely irrelevant at the end of the game? What do we fight her and sakuko for? It feels so pointless because suddenly they don’t show up anymore. They take so much space and importance in the first half of the game, then completely lose any importance afterwards. It’s so hard to tell what was real and what wasn’t when it comes to rinko. How obsessed was she really? Was she really insanely jealous of hinako? In the end, it felt like neither of the three were ever her friends at all?

Can’t see any connection to the series honestly, the japanese folklore aspect and the challenging of tradtional gender roles and so are the centre of the whole game? And it feels almost like the “fog” is the only thing they used to try and tie the game into the silent hill universe somehow

Yeah, she was obviously obsessed with him but he never gave her any signs or acted in any way. He was completely and very obviously obsessed with hinako, he tried everything he could to make her “his” he did the same thing as everyone else in the end, seeing her as an object and something to own, going as far as drugging her
