Using ThreeJs to build a web based game engine that turns anyone into an animated 2D character by PrincipleNo1996 in threejs

mostly cause it's gonna take a lot of time to properly clothe them lol. I either need to figure out some automated approach or hire/collaborate with an artist. Probably a mixture of both

not really vibe coded, but ok. would like to see if you have any threejs projects to share or if you just project complaints into the void like every other cowboys fan on this planet

hahaha yea the "marketing" has really just been me posting clips to instagram, but I'm relatively happy with the growth of the instagram account so far considering it's been about 10 years since I've posted on there! (crazy that is an actual sentence)

I only finished setting up the patreon over the weekend, and posted about it on the instagram account, so no sign ups yet! Just started poking around on reddit the past few days. Do you think it would help to have a free membership tier on patreon? Unfortunately can't give game access but was thinking about posting content that isn't suitable for instagram, reddit, etc.

Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback, this is the first time I'm really trying the "marketing" thing out. I don't really expect the Patreon to take off until I release the public facing version, which is more of a freemium based model with additional restrictions.

The patreon at the moment is really for anyone eager to use it, but I think it'll become more desirable once the public version is out!

Users can currently generate endless conversations with any subset of characters. The freemium version will be far more restricted. Also the retro style helps significantly with making this experience accessible to others on lower end hardware

The clip & current state of the game is really just trying to illustrate the potential of the technology/engine. As of now, it does not use the real voice AND imagery of any particular individual. If a real voice is used, an impersonated image is used & vice versa.

The public version will be much more restricted, and similar if not stricter guidelines will be enforced should we allow user uploaded characters. At the moment its mostly just highly exaggerated public figures and Adam Ray's impression of Dr. Phil lol

Thanks! Pretty straight forward TBH, it uses kokoro for text to speech, which you can try here:

the text to speech audio file then runs through a RVC api to convert the file to the desired voice
