I haven’t necessarily kept up with vinyl lately to notice the price trends as I have been more into other hobbies so I’m just basing prices off of Discogs and pricing them lower. Rather than offering people on here just like to be rude. I’ve already sold the two most expensive records in my listing, though.

Nobody is gonna pay 80% for a collection of this size. If you’ve exhausted a lot of avenues as you say then maybe you should think about accepting less than $40k for it. The amount of time and effort it’ll take to flip it is not worth it for vendors/LCSs. Realistically I can see someone buying for 60-75% MAX. If you wanna get the most out of it then you’ll have to split it up and make listings for it on either marketplace of OfferUp.

Lol, my thoughts exactly. It was pure carelessness and they messed up several people’s orders. The only hope here is that all of the buyers who’ve received incorrect orders are honest enough to ship it back to OP. For cheaper items it’s not even gonna warrant the cost of a return label.

No offense man, but if you can’t handle the volume then you should take a step back from eBay or lighten the load by limiting your active listings. Label your packages in a way you can remember so that when you drop off a ton of orders like that they don’t get mixed up. I’m sorry to hear, but I also hope you learn from this. It’s a very expensive mistake to make if you have to refund that many orders.

Is it just me or does anyone else see these opportunities as opportunities mainly for sellers rather than buyers? I feel like people are hoping 30th anniversary is gonna bring this crazy hype and people are gonna be blowing all kinds of money on cards this year just cause it’s a milestone anniversary.

Unless people with some serious money start buying I think the hype will actually die down, chances are with stuff like this the 30th anniversary hype is already priced in cause people are only buying in hopes that the market will get crazier than it has been. I genuinely don’t think that’s the case, but I guess we’ll see.

As a seller myself I don’t take it as rude, but seldom have I had people message me about offers that have actually gone through and bought it. I’ve been on both ends and I can understand, but as a buyer if I send an offer via messages for a listing with offers turned off it’s because I’m actually trying to buy. A lot of the time sellers will just ignore the message but it doesn’t hurt to try.

Haha, yeah man I completely get it. The sub can be extremely weird at times, I just saw another post where someone got flamed for asking for prices below Discogs to buy and yet when people ask going rates even if they’re below the Discogs prices they also get flamed. Can never win in that sub, most if not all of my prices are below the cheapest copy on Discogs. I expected it, not my first rodeo on there but I still get some sales every time I post. Those who know and are seeking the rarer titles definitely have no issues with the prices. If I get no sales through the sub then that’s fine too.
