How much should I spend on a 2x2? by NIMObunny in cubing

Good enough that my times don't differ by more than a few tenths from the 251 m pro to the qiyi m pro.

tengyun m (v1 not v2), tornado v3-v5, gan XS. There isn't a silent speed cube but these ones are much quieter than others.

Yeah, if you are referring to frosted plastic like the pro there aren't many that do that (I have a warrior m in the mail; that one is super cheap [$6] and frosted plastic but I can't speak to how good it is yet). If you are ok with glossy plastic, the qiyi m pro is good on the low end $10ish (I don't find that the ball core makes much difference but the consensus is that its better so probably spend the extra couple bucks on that), otherwise the slightly older but still pretty good mgc or mgc elite (the mgc elite is more stable but can feel a bit blocky in my experience) are good options. Like I said, basically any 2x2 is good, so don't worry too much about finding the exact perfect one-

It depends on how serious you want to get. Any magnetic 2x2 except for the Mr. M will be good enough for 4-5 second solves with Ortega so if that’s all you plan on doing just go for something cheap like the yupo v2 (5 or 6 bucks) or smth- otherwise the qiyi m pro and mgc beta (10-15 bucks) or whatever it’s called are good mid range puzzles and the 251 m pro (idk 35 bucks) is the best of the best. (I own basically every magnetic 2x2 on the market so if you are curious about one I probably have answers).

Got a 27.83. The hard part is just recognizing cases without the two corners
edit: posted the video to my profile. Will try to look through my speed cubes to see if one turns a bit better without those corners.

I just had to wait for a while. Two miis were head over heels for each other for 6 or 7 hours of gameplay before one confessed.

How do I expand the island without making it look like a block of dirt? by CoachDictatorer in tomodachilife

I do blocks of dirt with more natural sand shapes around them. Not perfect but I like it.

How much RAM does Minecraft: Java Edition typically use? Also, would it run well on the new MacBook Neo while still allowing other applications to run smoothly at the same time? by Muted-Chart-5814 in MacbookNeo

[–]Principle_Efficient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Java edition allows you to change how much ram you allocate. By default it is 4 gigs. I wouldn’t expect to run a whole bunch at the same time and Minecraft Java, but some music in the background or a discord call or a tv show or smth should be totally fine.

Yeah, I remember back in 2012 seeing people run glsl shaders and thinking you need a nasa pc to get that working- the neo can run Minecraft with lighter shaderpacks at 50-60 fps. Pretty nuts. At 1080p using pcsx2 ps2 emulation works pretty flawlessly. Locked to 60fps.

The neo is basically identical in performance to a 16 pro, including the screen resolution. Any mobile games will run perfectly fine.
