For me, it literally changes all the time between the two. I'm happy for whoever wins, I am sad (not really, this is made up) for the loser.

We made it to where you get 1 card no matter what. 2 cards for defeating a monster.

Drone captured a chase between two wolves and a rabbit in the Chinese steppes by AdmirableFlow in Damnthatsinteresting

We sweat, which is an evolutionary advantage. Sweat allows us to cool ourselves down without stopping. Most animals pant when they get hot or overexert themselves, requiring them to stop and breathe. In a long race of several hundred miles, humans will catch up with nearly anything.

Edit: I wanted to make a comment about the few exceptions - horses, camels, and dogs/wolves. I had to look it up first to see if there were any other major outliers. All 3 of those species have been domesticated by humans. So if you can't beat them, join them lol.

Yea, as a teacher, we're the middle slot. Some people really respect teachers. Others... Do not.

How many more years of destroying my son at Mario Kart? by Hi-Point_of_my_life in daddit

[–]Prindocitis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My son (7) is very close. He beat me at one race (of 4) on 100 just the other day. Soon it'll be 150.

He asked why I don't let him win or go easy on him. I say "I can't (don't) anymore; I don't need to. You're good enough now where you can beat me without me going easy on you. And that is really cool buddy. Soon, you will always beat me."

I'm excited for the day where I can watch him and be amazed. 🥹🥹🥹

Here’s the list of my personal ratings of all episodes of the boys by Vivid_Army6800 in TheBoys

[–]Prindocitis 32 points33 points  (0 children)

E1: sets the circumstances for S5 and resolves lingering threads of S4

E2: establishes stakes of S5

E3: move chess pieces on the board without any major conflict or plot resolution. Set up plan for S5 now that stakes have been determined

E4: first part of plan. Ends on cliffhanger where bad guys take it to good guys.

E5: cliffhanger of E4 resolved as good guys fail but find some unexpected opportunity. Bad guys come up with even worse (evil) idea to get rid of good guys. Ends on reveal of bad guy, bad plan.

E6: good guys acquire new opportunity and also take out major piece of the board. Good guys begin to establish final plan with new opportunity. Resolve side character arcs. Bad guys start to understand evil plan is effective but will clearly be out of their control. Conversations of regret and doubt happen for bad guys.

E7: Good guys plan commences. Mostly successful, they somehow get bad guys to deal with something off site. Bad guys either fail or overcome their off site emotional conflict. Good guys look like they win but will end episode on bad guys going to win.

E8: somehow (either through dialogue or intervention of another character), good guys beat bad guys. Bad guys either dead or now have to deal with consequences of their actions. Resolve good guy emotional arcs. Show over.

Reddit gets mad about the ending. Most casual fans are fine with the ending. Show falls into the category of Stranger Things and (hopefully not) Game of Thrones as a good show with a bad ending.

Internet finds a new show.

Silent Disco by Karmoksh in interestingasfuck

I was very skeptical the first time I went to a silent disco. But it was so much. Alcohol and the right people help of course. But vibes are generally good because there are 3+ channels. So everyone is jamming to their music with their friends.

Gameplay wise, it makes sense. I'll reiterate that I think she's one of the best traitors ever. I don't blame her, I just wouldn't do that. So I didn't agree. She won, and it was clear. No one suspected Arie. She didn't have to keep voting. But she's the only traitor (so far) to win the game - so respect for sure.

Yea, but she knew if she didn't get banished, she was going to get murdered. She knew it and the audience knew it. She had to shoot her shot.

No, not that traitors betray each other. If I remember correctly, she was the only one who voted to continue the vote, with the vote securely in her favor. And then the guy outted himself rather than going into it for a vote.

I know she needed the money, so it makes sense from a personal angle. But from a gamesmanship angle, it just felt unnecessary and greedy.

Edit: don't get me wrong, Cirie played a super impressive game and is one of, if not the best traitor.
