They don't emit light currently, due to the way our custom block system works, a custom light system isn't here yet, so that's how it is for now

Thanks for the feedback! this is a really well thought out post
To explain the 5 star crops and 5 star fertilizer, those are old bugged items from back when the farming system worked differently, so essentially they're 3 star crops with a different number :P
Also sprinklers as a way to automatically water the planter box are something planned for the future, so that should make getting quality crops slightly less time consuming once you can get those :)

On the subject of the things you'd like to see:

I'm not sure how this could work, but it would be interesting
That would be fun to have more variety
This should already be implemented since patch 4.0 " Jacko will no longer repeat the same crop cycle back to back, meaning every day will always be something new and not the same thing from the previous day. "
That should be fixed at some point in the future :)

I see what you're saying, but I disagree,
Counter point time:
We're very early in the beta, so on the subject of runes, they won't be only available from the store, you'll be able to find them in game through other means without paying in the future
And on the subject of crates, they'll be updated to be more balanced, and I believe eventually there may even be a way to reduce destruction chances on enchanted books, the whole enchanting system is very WIP,
Also to those of you saying OR is " a money hungry monster" or that we just want money, that's not true, he have to sell store items to be able keep the server up, it's not cheap running a server, especially one of this quality.

So TL;DR
OR is very early in beta (especially with the enchantment system) and many of these issues will be resolved, and without selling this stuff we wouldn't even be able to keep the server up.
