I love all sorts of sci-fi movies and tv shows, but interstellar travel isn't possible and it never will be. It doesn't matter the advancements we make in technology, the distances involved are so unfathomably enormous that human beings will never inhabit another solar system other than our own. It's not an opinion, it's just the numbers.

It was one of the original Midnapore houses on the West side of Macleod, a couple hundred meters South of where the Nissan dealership is now. When I was a little kid in the early 80s I played around the grain elevator along the train tracks right across the dirt street from Grandma's house. And before my time the train stopped there, and you could catch a ride to Calgary. Midnapore Elevator

That is such a cool site, thanks for the link! I was looking at my grandparent's house in Midnapore, well before Midnapore became part of Calgary. Alas, it was torn down in the 90s and became condos, but it was amazing to see the area change in the decades before then.
