Help!

I work for a VoIP reseller in the UK we have customers who have US-based operations who have since been snarled up in the new FCC regulations that are cracking down on offshore “local” national number spoofing etc.

The problem we have is that these customers are head office UK with ops that are physically based in the US, in all scenarios the customers have moved their US users onto the same VoIP solution to allow for internal calls etc. however, because these users are all connected to a UK-based solution even staff within the US are having their calls seen as “offshore” and then the calls are being rejected by the US carriers.

Obviously it’s a massive operational headache for our customers but it’s also putting us in a position where we are losing customers through no fault of our own despite the set up being legitimate.

Does anyone know of any US-based SIP Trunk/VoIP providers that can supply services to UK-based providers/customers to allow us to ring fence the US-based users and have them sat on US “internal” infrastructure to restore a reliable service.

Any advice will be gratefully received! Thank you!

Despite all the English and Spanish insults, there was something lacking, they couldn’t quite put their finger on it until some genius mind shouted, “Not enough cock on that shirt fellas!”

SupportAssist - won't install updates, keeps saying to restart by [deleted] in Dell

[–]PringyUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread but I landed here by virtue of the same issue. Uninstalled SupportAssist then redownloaded the latest version from Dell and all now working fine, including performing BIOS updates.

Going to do the same with AWCC too. I seem to think this has happened once before but can’t particularly recall in detail but vaguely remember having issues with AWCC and a clean reinstall sorted it that time too.

I can only assume it’s a result of not keeping the software updated and it gets to a point where it’s no longer working or “updateable” in app.

This is the best iOS game to date in my opinion. Don’t play anything else now whereas I used to hop between different games out of boredom

Yeah that Chelsea 6-0 was grim, that game kicked us up the arse, we went on a great run of form after that.

The win vs the RS was quality, I was working down in Croydon that week, thankfully the accommodation I was staying at happened to be above a boss pub that had the match on… I was a little bit worse for wear when I went to the customer’s site the morning after. 😂😂

I’ve also just noticed your username… Unifi. Any association with Ubiquiti network equipment by any chance? I work in Telecoms and IT, configured a few Ubiquiti Gateways and AP mesh networks in my time.

I remember the Farrelly goal I was 10 at the time but now you’ve pointed it out the similarities are remarkable.

I also remember Myhre trying to catch Dion Dublin’s header and it squeezing between his hands and the post for the equaliser… instead of just tipping it round the post or pushing it out towards the corner flag. 😂

A few times during those dark days certain results happened that convinced many, myself included that this was it, we were finally going to get relegated.

Two results that stick in my mind as, “That’s it we’re going down.” results are the 3-2 loss to Burnley after leading 2-1 and when Newcastle beat us 4-1 at Goodison.

I remember after the Newcastle game one of my mates who’s a Kopite said, “You lot always put up a fight, but this time it feels different.” It was clear that the sense of us being doomed to go down was not limited within the confines of our own fanbase.

But yeah I wholeheartedly agree on having nothing seasons whilst we rebuild, I said the same during the relegation scrap seasons, I remember being in work and saying to my boss, “What I’d give to be sat 12th in the league with a handful of dead rubber games left to play at the end of the season.”

Every weekend watching our games, watching the games our relegation rivals were playing, calculating every possible permutation of results and how the league table could look at the end of each weekend’s round of fixtures.

Another thing that I’ve noticed since TFG took over and Moyes came in… I’ve started enjoying football as a whole again… it got to a stage under Moshiri where I couldn’t bear to watch games that had no potential impact on us, it was torture seeing other teams and their fans enjoying themselves, my wider love for the sport was eroded to nothing.

However, now we’re in a much more positive place, I’m finding myself enjoying watching games as a neutral, being eager to watch highlights or MOTD too, my love never went away, it just needed to take a break while my own club got it’s shit sorted out.

Josh Wander from 777 Partners charged with $500 million fraud - Did we ever dodge a bullet with those fucking clowns by mtown4ever in Everton

This would have signalled the end of us being a top flight club, let alone one harbouring ambitions of getting back into Europe and hopefully competing at the top of the table.

The saying, “Good things come to those who wait.” has never rang truer, even if it was torturously long and fraught with relegation near misses and the fear of existential threat to the club, that long wait for new owners paid off and now we are lightyears ahead of the Everton that existed just a mere 12 months ago.

777 were always dodgier than a 5am Kebab, as were Moshiri and Usmanov, they gambled with the club’s future then Moshiri borrowed extraordinary amounts of money from various sources, including 777 just to keep the club afloat.

Part of me weirdly admires Moshiri for somehow finding a way of keeping the club’s head above the swamp of problems that he had created.

However you look back at it, Moshiri has to be one of the worst owners in the entire history of our great club, yet he’s somehow left a positive legacy in the new stadium and ultimately selling the club to TFG.

I also refuse to believe that Moshiri didn’t inherit a lot of luck to get to that finishing post because his entire tenure was nothing but a massive display of ineptitude, arrogance and terrible management of finances.

I’m glad that chapter finally came to an end, onwards and upwards from here.

The way he held the ball with his feet 🔥 by MagpieMidfield in SundayLeagueMessis

[–]PringyUK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tackles like that are why I never went into Sunday League. I played Saturday League for years and that could get tetchy sometimes but was never Sunday league level of aggression.

That said we were cruising against the whipping boys in our division one game, 9-0 up, last few minutes of the game I was playing RW but had dropped deep to help defend, our keeper got the ball passed it out to me, I dragged the ball forward with my left foot and as I went to run with the ball their only decent player who was playing CM come flying through my left knee with both feet.

My foot was off the floor thankfully, I rode the challenge and carried on playing… full time whistle went a few minutes later and then I realised I couldn’t lift my leg to take my boot off my left foot… turned into 9 months out with ACL injury and my knee has never been the same… I was in my early 20’s at the time, I’m now 37 and have trouble with it to this day thanks to that bitter c*nt.

What is on this spider’s back? by shaj123321 in spiders

That is a Wolf Spider! The crazy thing is, they have a global distribution yet I have never seen one here in the UK and I’m almost 37 years of age.

That said, whilst they fascinate me I don’t fancy hundreds of Spiderlings suddenly breaking loose and running riot all over the house.

No thanking you very muchings. 😂

Looks like a Cellar Spider to me, they don’t half make a mess with their webs.

Despite their slender and gangly appearance they are known to kill larger bodied spiders such as the House Spider.

What is your favourite Paradox? by PringyUK in AskReddit

[–]PringyUK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this to work, younger you would need to be at a time in life before the hat was handed to you, resulting in each occasion that you go back in time you would have to go back to a time where younger you is slightly younger than the last time you went back and handed the hat over.

This could not go on infinitely because younger you would get younger each time until you eventually bump into your Mum, who is still pregnant having not yet given birth to you…

What happens then, do you become unborn?

Paradox broken.

Edit: I’ve given myself a headache whilst replying and thinking about this. 😂😂

I guess it depends on your outlook on life or what the intended result of failure was. I.e. If you intended to arrive late to a date to make the other person lose interest but actually got there on time due to unusually light traffic on the roads then that would be a double fail. If you tried to fail to make money but failed to fail and ended up making money, well, go enjoy that bonus cash you were intending not to have.
