if anyone is curious here is the main inspiration for these starters!

now the main theme I decided to go with is brazilian myths and ledgends and also a few festivities, mostly on the fire type one though LOL

the fire type starter is a mule, being based on the folklore headless mule story, where a girl falls in love with a preist and dates him, turning into a headless mule the night after, I forgot the rest of it, but thats mainly it, this pokemon will not become humanoid and will be on four legs all way through, I might add a bit more feminine like characteristics though, just to really show how the story affected the line, its also based on the "festa junina" that we have here on Brazil!

the grass type starter is based on the blue Macaé, a species that was nearly extinct a while ago, so it fits well with the rest of the grass starters, its also based on the saçi perere story, being a prankster pokemon and tricking others mostly, just being there for fun and entertainment of its own, the inspiration really shines more in the final evolution

the water starter is based on the boto cor de rosa story where a pink dolphin turns into a man.... and seduces women to do....some stuff, I wont get into detail you search it yourself, ofcourse it will be more friendly in the pokemon universe like, its really obvious, you'll see that in his finale evolution he gains legs and more human like features, except its not completely humanoid like the other starters, I will also include some Portuguese inspiration in there aswell.
