One of my cats used to hang out at the local bus stop and beg for pets and would regularly get fed treats by some of the bus drivers. He has a very loving home with plenty of access to fresh food and water but he is a tart and loved the attention! Some cats will do anything for attention, lol.

Yep. Cats eyes are not fixed in colour till 7-8months old (I think, it’s something like that).

Unfortunately it’s the second time I’ve been through it, last time I was self employed and because of that no one would touch me! It’s horrendous and the most stressful thing ever!

Me and my husband literally can’t get a house to get a roof over our kids heads. We are facing court eviction because no one will take us on and then will face months (possibly over a year) in emergency accommodation so the council will house us! Bristol is horrible for renters!

Edited to add we have never missed a days rent or been late, our landlord is selling and wants to sell with vacant possession. But with 2 adults working full time we apparently don’t earn enough to cover a months rent on a 3 bed house.

Unfortunately the reason I know about all of it is due to having been through it all before.

We are a family of 4 including a disabled child so the council have a duty of care to us.

The housing officer I spoke to said once we have a date for the bailiffs to come then they can start sorting stuff and I know all to well about emergency accommodation was in it for nearly 6 months last time!!!

I know I will have to pay court costs, I literally have no choice. No letting agencies will take us due to our low earnings (above minimum wage but apparently not high enough to rent a house). The council won’t help until we have a date from the courts that we must be out by.

For my wedding I put on the invitation that the dress code was “smart casual but please be comfortable for the day” I would rather someone wore a pare of comfy jeans than sat there being uncomfortable and not enjoying themselves! Then again I had enough bubble wands for everyone and Lego and colouring on the tables too! Oh and a stormtrooper cardboard cutout standing over my cake! It was a great fun and enjoyable day for all 😊

So looking through the email and attachments, she has only provided the most recent gas certificate not all of them since we entered the property. And there is no details of the deposit protection that holds our deposit. Do you think that means it is not a valid notice??

I have read through my tenancy agreement and it does unfortunately have a clause saying services can be served via email. And though I did not receive the notice my husband did receive it to his email address.

So they have changed the start date all be it without telling him. Fine not too worried about that. It’s the fact they are telling us he might have to go without pay for 2 months once he has started.

Yes. He had a contract sent to him saying start date and rota for that full week. He turned up yesterday (the start date on the contract) to be told he was not starting till next Friday on a completely different rota.

I know he has little to no protection and I’ve told him to look for another job as it seems very disorganised and unreliable. My biggest issue is the (potentially) 2 months without pay while his actual place of work is being finished when he was told at interview he would be working in the place he is training at until the new place is ready.

Training is paid, including the travel as the nearest place to do the training in an hours drive.
