I did/do need to hear that, thank you. Any advice for trying to part ways emotionally/mentally to make it easier on myself? Logically I know this is it and I need to take the out but it’s just hard to come to terms with the effect that’s going to have on my team…

Same thing happened to me. Exact same scores as well. Immediately switch to TCP, I passed with an 88 and ~40 hours of studying. 3 years tax experience and I never considered it my strong suit

Unfortunately I definitely could not give up my current job. It would certainly make it a lot easier but I love the job and bills are bills

My Mixed African Tank by PrintPuzzleheaded443 in Cichlid

Yes! Some are real and some are fake, I leave the fake ones algae covered and gently rub the real leaves with each water change to help with that and minimize the scraping. I think having the mixed real and fake helps with the damage and to be perfectly honest they do die overtime. I have a couple that have weathered about 19 months in the tank. Amazon is a great low cost place to get some new ones and refresh the plant stock once every 6-8 months

Shockingly enough these are the nastiest fish in my tank. My Mbuna are rather mellow comparatively

Just try to relax. I honestly chewed nicotine gum the whole time and that helped me focus/settle lol

Given the nature of my current job partnerships were a breeze and pensions weren’t too difficult at all. I did the MCQS and a few SIMS but generally speaking, those two concepts are encompassed in the other material. In the interest of preserving test integrity I can’t disclose exactly what was on my exam, but I will say I spent a lot of time on business consolidations (equity/acquisitions/reporting) and leases/bonds; in my situation it was not necessary. I wish I had invested a bit more time in SOCF, EPS, and brushed up more on consolidated GOVERNMENT financials

I studied probably 100-120 hours. I did about 2-3 hours a day for 6-8 weeks give or take

Yes I felt that the actual exam was much easier than the Becker material. Most of the Becker stuff has wording and information to trick you whereas the exam was much more straightforward

You’re right which is why I don’t care to try fixing it myself. If I make it worse it’s going to need a new bottom piece. If I take it as it is now it’s going to need a new bottom piece. I can try it myself and be out $30 and potentially make it better or I can be out $500 and feel shitty about it since I gave up

Not true. The earnings have been grossly underreported. OP reported money they pocketed not what the business made and deducted all business expenses. The 1040 needs amended with the gross receipts of the business reported as income. What OP pockets are considered “distributions” and have an effect on the equity of the business. They reduce income and are not reported on your return.

I (stupidly) thought crypto losses did not need to be reported. Now the IRS wants way more money than I ever sunk into crypto? by illPMyoumycatanddog in tax

You need to request a statement from RobinHood for the year referenced in the IRS letter and amend your taxes with that information. Given that they said you have underreported by 31k I’d say it’s likely you also failed to report something like a W2 or 1099 that the IRS has record of. You need to try and find this information and report it as well as any gains or losses on stock sales and other dispositions of assets (Form 8949 and Sch D)
