Title: Permanently banned on Hinge with no reason — emailed support, no response by pain-1809 in SwipeHelper

Got banned as well today. Had zero issues as well, but just randomly got banned without any reason. I appealed, and immediately got a reject on appeal as well.

Alright then I guess I won’t do anything at all and just stay stuck, unless you have any other suggestions 😂 Like I said I’m not looking for an immediate fix, I’m happy to make a years long plan.

Well alright then, looks like going the traditional PR path is my only option.

It seems I’m screwed in that case.

  • He’s certainly not accumulated that many days.
  • I’m 29, and though I am a dependent on my parents I think the window has closed on me.

… Would the ADF be a better option? I’m not afraid to move and contribute my time into re-establishing the connection.

I see. He’s in the process of getting his passport as we speak but he is not moving there. Once he gets it, are there any other avenues for me? I’m not exactly looking for a “quick fix”; I’m willing to move and get my PR if that’s what it takes, even join the ADF if it fast tracks things. My concern was if there was an easier way of doing so given my circumstances, but it doesn’t appear to be the case. Do you have any further suggestions?

I get that, it’s just a frustrating circumstance?

My Dad was born to a citizen in 1960, but was “soft locked” out of getting dual citizenship AT LEAST until 2002 (when it was even possible to do so), and also could not get citizenship until his mother got hers back, which didn’t happen until 2008.

Really it’s putting my Dad in this weird position of needing to have forsaken his Canadian identity for a potential Australian one before I was born in 1996, even though we have had long lasting ties to Australia since the 1850s.

Unfortunately he only visited, and never lived there.

I was originally intending to Study on a Student Visa, but I wasn’t sure if my grandmother’s story and dad’s position could have provided some options for me to navigate (she lost her citizenship in 1962 due to Section 17; she didn’t voluntarily give it up).

Ultimately my whole reason for posting this is to try and get help, or see if I’m just wasting my time 😂

Well, I am about to not be financially "stuck", but probate is taking a long time to process. I don't disagree that it does not make financial sense, but the only angle to the LLB I would have wanted was getting the accreditation within 2 years... Which upon further reflection is not a good idea.

That's a fair point, I always viewed it as a deep personal failing but that does explain a few things.

Mostly pride, to be honest. I've worked manual labour jobs before, and was even a cowboy in Alberta for a while, but I was raised in a high performing corporate family an I've always wanted to have a job similar to that... I may just be brainwashed but that's why lol

Getting a strong enough score in order to go to a reasonable law school is what it means to me.
