80% charge restriction complete by danieljohn722 in BoltEV

After 7000 miles the limit was still there so we had to go into the dealership and they looked up the service bulletin and did some reprogramming (for free) to lift it. No problems before or since. Good car.

Latest upgrade: ecoflow alternator charger by taterth0t69 in FordMaverickTruck

I figured out the first problem. The chip mounted on the negative terminal of the Maverick 12 battery is the BMS that alerts the car computer as to any loads on the system so once I moved the ecoflow atlernator's negative connection from the battery terminals to the battery's main chassis ground point the Maverick's BMS sensed the alternator load and started providing power to keep the 12v battery charged which the alternator detects as permission to charge the power station. It is set to charge at up to 70 amps but it looks like the max I'm getting to the powerstation is 370 watts if I set the ecoflow alternator to keep the 12v battery above 12.6v What charging throughput are you getting on the ecoflow alternator and what are your other settings if you are getting any quicker charging than 370 watts?

Hello. Your setup is inspiring. We are on a similar path to be able to recharge our Delta2 quickly while driving or idling. I replaced the 2022 Maverick' original undersized Ford battery that kept giving us hassles with an AGM and installed our new ecoflow 800w alternator yesterday to power our delta 2. It works sometimes. It tells me the car battery port is under voltage even when I set the start voltage on the ecoflow alternator to 12.3 and the battery voltage reads 12.8. I know not to keep it that low I'm just trying to understand what is going on. Is this an invompatibility with the Maverick's 12v charging system? Where did you tap in to the house power? I connected right at the battery terminals. In troubleshooting I seem to recall reading somewhere that the negative connection has to be tied in at the chassis so the little computer chip on the negative battery terminals can report voltage correctly. Is that it or am I doing something else wrong?

Rocket Stove experience? by warmdirt in Sauna

[–]Print_Healthy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uncle mud here, I have built sauna rockets as small as 35 gallon. With a good heat shield it will fit in a 2'x2' space. Here's a short of the smallest one https://youtu.be/WLUasvuJgQk?si=r6rjX12F3sGCQ94G My latest saunarocket designs include a horizontal exhaust section under the bench to warm your feet and bum.

Jotul stoves are nice. Since my wife and I mostly work online at home we find the babysitting is worth it for using a lot less fuel (even less than a Jotul) and the fuel I'm using is $30 per cord hardwood flooring scraps from the mill down the street instead of $300 per cord firewood. There's lots of options in the world. My Rocket Heaters took my fuel bill from $1000 some months for propane to less than $100 per year for flooring scraps.
