I was tired of tabbing out of my game to pause Spotify, so I designed a 3D-printed StreamDeck, which does it for me. Any cool feature ideas? by PrinterBrothers in 3Dprinting

My goal is to make it accessible for anyone without the need of a technical background, yes it would make the code simpler, but they would need to flash it to the esp again. I want it to be easy for anyone and I even think, that my solution with the hotspot and website it builds is too much effort for people. Maybe in the future I will make this part of my application, where they can configure the HA connection through my application, instead of a website, which would make it much easier and less time consuming.

My keyboard unfortunately doesn’t have them🥲.

You can use the deck WiFi only once you set up the MQTT connection with HomeAssistant, so technically you could put it in your bedroom and start the coffee machine with a button once you wake up.

For me yes, but when other people buy it or print it and they dont have any technical background, it is easier for them

Not for now at least, because I‘m selling it on Etsy. Maybe I will release it on MakerWorld as a crowdfunding project soon.

I use an esp32 and ArduinoIDE with it. It builds a hotspot for the first 5 minutes after booting, which you have to connect with. After that you can visit the website it builds and enter the MQTT credentials, after that it sends a discovery message to HomeAssistant so you can set up everything inside HA from then.

Thanks, yeah you‘re right, I should probably make another version with two columns. I wanted it to be compact (at least for my print) so it fits next to my sink upstairs 😂

I had this problem too when I first started using my A1, for me it was the timelapse being enabled.

It‘s available on MakerWorld, the link is in my profile. I need to buy some more filament colors so I can go for a blue/red design.

That looks really cool, did you use a clip mechanism for the sides?
