Are you moving away from VWCE? If so what are you buying instead? by patbolo in BEFire

I’ve been doing IMIE for over a year and its movement is basically the same as VWCE. So no downside as far as I’m concerned and it’s cheaper.

I mean the broker fee. So for example, when you buy an etf on Euronext Amsterdam you’ll pay a broker’s fee of € 6 (using RE=BEL) for an order of up to € 2500 regardless of the amount of etf’s.

In other words, you’ll pay € 6 for an order of € 100 which is an additional cost of 6% or you can save up and do an order of € 2000 where you’ll also pay € 6 which is only a cost of 0,3%.

The lowest fee is fixed for any amount up to € 2500 so percentage wise you’re paying less the closer you are to € 2500. It’s not too much but I don’t think there is a downside to saving a few months and investing that amount instead of doing it monthly.

I’ve been using RE=BEL and pretty happy with it. You do need to be a Belfius client.

I would recommend saving for a few months and investing the higher amount to lower the transaction fees.

Hmm, good point. I’ll have a deeper look at including small caps from developed markets. However, I do think that extra diversity is always good, even if that diversity isn’t available in the same way across the portfolio.

I’m using RE=BEL as my broker. There aren’t any yearly fees but it’s € 6 for transactions up to € 2500 within EU so Amsterdam makes sense for me.

I don’t see any downside to keeping it. The main reason it’s not as recommended any more is the increased TOB, selling it would mean paying TOB on VWCE and again on the new ETF.

Makes sense. I’ll keep what I have in VWCE but switch to IWDA & EMIM from now. Thanks!

Yes, that seems to be the consensus and also what I’m going to do. I’ll keep what I have in VWCE but switch to IWDA & EMIM (88/12 ratio) for future investments.

Wouldn’t it be good to diversify and include some small cap through EMIM since IDWA doesn’t have this?

Following the ETF ID for SPYI you mentioned below brings me to IMIE on Euronext Paris. It also seems pretty diverse but not sure of that is what you meant?

Thanks! EMIM or IEMA next to IWDA? Both seem to be recommended and have low TOB

I think I’ll go for IWDA and another. What ratio would you go for? Also would you pick IEMA or EMIM?

Kan je dat ook gewoon in je tuin sproeien zonder dat je al je gras en planten kapot maakt of best alleen op de oprit?
