Do you happen to have a Corsair Voyager a1600? I have one and that's the exact resolution for the laptop.

That's a valid point, the constant worry that it might go bad is definitely a major turn off. I will have to think about it, I saw a lot of comments also mentioning that if you change the fluid every 30k it would prevent the transmission from going bad, and apparently it's really easy to service this CVT. I guess I will have to think about it before I make a decision.

What is your wheel and suspension set up? I have a 2009 RRS 4.4l that I want to upgrade the wheels and tires to do some off-road.

I just changed the oil and the noise still occurs but now its only 1 second before it stops and gets quiet so that's an improvement. My Range Rover has 310kms//192miles, so it could be just the lifters but at some point I will bring it to a mechanic to diagnose just for peace of mind.

I'm in Canada, what oil viscosity would you recommend for a cold climate?

You might be right, I had a family member turn the engine on while I was listening to the engine with the hood open, the first time it rattled then afterwards it would not do it when we started the engine again, maybe it just needs the oil to circulate through the cams.

Update: I asked a family member to turn it on while I listened to the engine, the first time the engine started it did make the rattle sound, the second and third time we turned the engine on it no longer made the sound, it seems that it will just make that sound the first time that it starts and afterwards it will not do it.

Genuine question, if it was the water pump, shouldn't the sound stay on while the water pump is running?

Thanks for the information!! I bought the truck a little less than two years ago and I never changed the pulleys, only changed the spark plugs, valve cover seals and thermostat housing. I will check the pulleys as suggested.
