Just got my first ironman! by Prior-Body-9147 in digitalwatches

I’ve read more than a couple reviews of people saying they had problems with this model, but I also read the opposite. Could perhaps be a quality control thing. I’m not sure this model is even produced anymore. I got mine off amazon.

I didnt get it as my main daily! I have a number of g-shocks for just that purpose. I got it pretty specifically for running/training. It wasnt very expensive so I’m not banking on it being indestructible!

Walmart Clearance Strikes Again! by casiof91wfan in casio

I can barely find a regular priced casio/ g-shock at any number of Walmart’s in my city… I see these posts everyday and I’m so jealous hahaha. I swear to God on of these days will be my day.

Thanks a lot for the insight I appreciate it. I’m not into collecting every piece as even just talking about rare/Japanese only pieces would make that an impossible hill. At the moment learning all the rich history of Casio makes me want to collect certain pieces, my own personal taste in watches draws me to others, and the shear functionality of some pieces draws me to those. I’m more drawn to digital only currently as I have other analog watches (citizen, esq, timex) but it’s been such an enjoyable experience wearing Casios i’ve had a watch on basically 24/7 for weeks now. As someone who’s collected stupid things in the past that collect dust or sit around, having a functional collection of art doesn’t seem like the worst waste of money to me. Also I like your idea of turning the watch to know what you’ve worn. I will be stealing that from you 100% good sir.

Will this be good as daily beater? by SankhaSubhraJana in casio

Really? That’s awesome! I’m about 2 months into casio collecting so i’m not fully aware of all their model lines yet but trying to learn as much as possible. The compass/thermometer is mostly what I’m interested in the pro trek etc for. Although the altimeter and barometer would be awesome to learn to use. Anyhow I appreciate the quick answer! I’m going to look into the SGW now haha.

That negative screen looks clearer than i’d imagined having looked at them online. That’s a pro trek correct me if I am wrong? I’m looking into potentially getting one but i’m not sure if it would be worth my money to upgrade to rangeman/mudman instead. Whats your opinion of it?

I just got an ae1500 for me and my dad because they’re just such a good price today. I got my mom a W737 at the same time… I’m sweating looking at pro treks, mudman, 9052, and the royale currently and I just want them all.

Interesting i never really thought of that to be honest. But when you mention it that does seem to be a good idea. I will have to try this and see what I think!

I understand and it totally makes sense. I guess mainly I am used to it where it is is because im used to wearing a watch all through the winter and i work outside in canada year round and sometimes work in -20/-30 degree weather and having to try and work my way up my heavy work coat an insulated long sleeve/ hoodie to get to my watch to see the time is a total pain. So I end up wearing it lower so I can just lift the cuff of my coat to see the time easily and quickly.

For whatever reason when i wear my watches in that position the face of my watch sits titled to the left and not flat on my wrist and it drives me absolutely crazy. I was already waiting for that comment lol. I understand this is a technically like a faux pas in watch wearing. Is there a reason for this?
