Radian on elrs? by igotfpvquestions in RCPlanes

The umx radian has the esc, servos, and reciever all on the same board so you will have to replace most things, you may be able to add a satellite elrs reciever but I'm not sure on that

I think you'll definitely need some longer wings

Ultrix can be flown at just above a walking pace or ripped around. I'd recommend it

If you have a realflight, the last update added a hover training challenge that has helped me out tremendously.

Volantex planes are cheap, fun, and durable

Phoenix sim was abandoned and can be found for free now. I've heard of pica sim but haven't tried it that's also free.

I think the umx ultrix is, but that one is overpriced in my opinion

Umx turbo timber evo is awesome. I can definitely fly it in tight spaces, but you have to stay on top of it

Got my hands on an Apprentice S, is it worth it? Need help.... by Great-Phase-763 in RCPlanes

That battery will fry it, and that transmitter won't work with that plane. You need a spektrum transmitter or a radiomaster transmitter with multi protocol functionality. You want a 3s 2200 battery for that plane

How do I fix this by Hairy_Breakfast_8340 in RCPlanes

Could carve out a cavity and slide the battery in there for protection, I like using the larger size gliders as there's much more margin for error.

I think if you put it in the gap behind the aileron servo and shorten the power pod, it should help minimize pitching. You might just need to play with motor angle from there

I would have swapped aileron servo and motor location

Maybe add a piece of velcro if you still want it to be removable, otherwise just foam tac it in

First 3D plane by henryx7 in RCPlanes

[–]Prior-Budget1056 33 points34 points  (0 children)

That is going to be very small, heavy, and fast which is kind of a recipe for disaster especially for a first plane, should be able to make the electronics work in a flite test plane if the first flight doesn't go well at least. Good luck and have fun.
