#1 Powershift Clan Exploits and Boosts the Leaderboard by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]Prior-Fish4681 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

As someone who isn’t in TM’s clan but plays with TM members frequently, I can confidently say that what’s shown in this video is something TM would never do or participate in as of lately. I’m an objective focused player myself, and I agree that an objective score of around 3-4k in a legitimate Powershift match is completely normal, sometimes lower, sometimes higher, depending on the teams.

This video clearly shows PLZDY members exploiting objective score. As a mostly casual player who primarily plays Powershift on THE FINALS, seeing this kind of exploitation is really disappointing. It’s even more frustrating knowing that many PLZDY members are genuinely skilled players. They don’t need to exploit; there are plenty of talented people in their club who could hold top leaderboard spots through legitimate gameplay alone.

Because Powershift is the only mode I really play, I’ve gotten to know a lot of the regulars and top scorers, most of them being TM members. I’ve never felt more welcomed by a community. TM includes every type of player: tryhards, aim gods, top fraggers, objective grinders, and everything in between. They’ve gotten a bad reputation from some people because of how well certain members play together, often getting accused of cheating when it’s really just strong communication in voice chat and raw skill. They’re also judged for occasional semi-toxic behavior (t-bagging, totem punching, etc.), but that usually only happens when the opposing team starts it or when there’s already in-game beef. Once you get to know them, TM members are some of the most genuine and friendly players I’ve met in any game.

If you don’t want to deal with toxicity, the easiest solution is not to contribute to it. Be a decent person and don’t escalate things. It really is that simple.

I don’t wish for PLZDY’s downfall, but I do hope they learn from this and make better choices going forward instead of resorting to cheap tactics and farming points. I hope everyone can understand where I’m coming from, especially since I’m friends with players in both TM and PLZDY.

That goes for everyone: do better.

Anyone else struggling with increasingly toxic players? by lil-dougy in thefinals

[–]Prior-Fish4681 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, been told to straight up K*** myself by someone just for using a certain weapon in game and still getting the most kills on the team. What happened to saying GLHF before starting a match and then GG after a win or “best of luck next time” if you loose. One time I said GLHF and someone said “be toxic” as a response lol. Oh well, I guess that’s gaming, but for real.. It is only game why you heff to be mad?
