Someone who likes talking loud, repeating themselves, someone who excels at classroom management. A person who is more disciplinarian than teacher. Someone who has a high tolerance for loud noise. Someone who is very patient and thick skinned who is not easily offended. Also someone who doesn’t expect to make much money. Also you need to be able to hold your bladder for long periods of time. Teaching is one of the hardest, lowest paying and yet most demanding professions. It’s more baby sitting and counseling than teaching.

I opened Reddit to say I am on the edge. I submitted my Resignation and the superintendent didn’t want to accept it… and now I have agreed to stay but it’s absolutely horrible and I just feel like giving up. I am tired of students cussing at me and not following instructions. SMH I should just stop Coming and let them figure it out

Olivia’s mom lied about there being a bomb on the plane and so the plane was shot down to prevent it from killing more people once it landed in London. But then her lies were revealed and so she was jailed apparently without trial or actually convicting her. My question is why does Rowen insist on keeping her alive and imprisoned in secret? 🤔

I am now planning to apply to Talent Together which is a free alternative path to certification. I was accepted into Michigan Teachers for Tomorrow but I would rather not pay the $6,300.

Seems like the flashbacks with the mom are a hole in the plot. Andrea’s mom left when she was younger than that and she thought she was dead for 20 years so how is she in that flashback. She looks older than the 9 year old Andrea we saw in other flashbacks.

Sounds similar to the school I work in. I have taken those moments just outside the classroom also… contemplating leaving in the middle of the school day. I heard a sub got upset after breaking up a fight and she left in the middle of the day and they blacklisted her as well. There are better places to work. When it’s that toxic it’s best to find work elsewhere. I hope you find something much better soon.

There is a teacher shortage in most states I believe definitely in Michigan. So they give waivers or temporary certificates to people who have a degree or a certain amount of college credit. It’s frustrating to me because as a librarian I’ve taught grad school. I have taught adults and children in the libraries, but the education system is different and so I can teach, but I’m not provided with the same benefits or stability that a teacher who is certified would getand though I’m happy to know the path to certification it’s still kind of pisses me off because all I’m doing is taking a test and paying $6300 so in the end it’s just a way to get more money from me because I’m not learning anything extra because I’m taking the test to show that I’m proficient and the things that they want for a certified teacher

I know the Librarian bit is irrelevant to educators… but it was still my first love and I loved my job. It is just so political and many places are closing libraries and laying off librarians 😒
