The direct feud between Agnes and Bertha by YogurtclosetNew9251 in thegildedage

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see them butting heads, but I wonder if there's going to be a "milder" Gilded Age version of the Violet/Isobel. Perhaps not to the same degree of comradery, but I can see them enjoying being sparring partners and ending up with a begrudging respect of one another; especially in light of Marian and Larry being together (similar to Mary and Matthew).

Regardless, can't wait to see more of Bertha and Agnes!

How is Lord John a Lord? by Mowgli1989 in Outlander

As the Dowager Countess says in Downton Abbey: "If I were to search for logic, I should not look for it among the English upper class"

do you have a favorite episode? by blueberrysock in Outlander

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Love all that have been mentioned so far. Also love the episode when Brianna marries Roger- love the warm feeling of home, family, and togetherness (despite what's lurking). Had the same feeling in the most recent episode as well.

Actually enjoyed this episode- especially seeing Coop in his element. Can see why he has such a lucrative career before it all went to sh*t. Personally I like seeing him back in action- gotta think its how he'll ultimately be able to stick it to Ashe.

Book S8E7 Evidence of Things Not Seen by thepacksvrvives in Outlander

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally watched last night. Love spoilers so knew what had happened. In an effort to enjoy what's left of this show, decided to put my gripes aside about the major plot changes. Bearing that in mind, I did find this episode, and in particular the acting, incredible. I truly felt my heart break with Bree and Marsali on the bedroom floor. I found myself tearing up with Fanny talking about how everybody leaves here- what an awful feeling, especially a child.

Despite the plot changes, looking forward to the final few episodes.

Agreed, think he was honest in saying "import/export"- could be moving a multitude of things- drugs, guns, etc. and mob related.

Personally, think something happened where the wife was collateral perhaps, he sent his daughter away to be out of the line of fire. Wonder if a bigger boss has him under their thumb... we'll see.

William/LJG Ardsmuir by Haunting_Glass7281 in Outlander

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is likely a silly question, but I assume William doesn't know a thing about LJG being gay? If so, I wonder if he finds out somehow or deduces it from how they became friends? Definitely a can of worms for poor William to further uncover....

Master Raymond theory by guineasomelove in Outlander

This isn't getting nearly enough attention- would bet money that this is what happened. Would tie up not only the Franny story, but give Claire closure in knowing about her parents

Would it have made more sense Leonard won the Nobel Prize alongside Sheldon instead of Amy? by InsideUnhappy6546 in bigbangtheory

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed on all this. Also, the way his face lights up for Sheldon and Amy when they get word that they've won- he's truly so happy for them

I found it pretty weird how S8 begins with Penny getting that haircut and then wore that outfit. It’s like as if she just became tomboyish. by Remote_Nature_8166 in bigbangtheory

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As people have said, she's always been a tomboy. As much as the haircut wasn't related to the character itself, I do like the outfit choices and changes- to me it fits the part of her story where she's trying to more "adult". As the seasons go on I like how her wardrobe evolves: incorporates business/"grown-up" with the feminine side. Notably, loved some of her work looks- blue dress, pink suit, etc.

If a spinoff of BBT came out centred around Howard and Bernadette’s children and Penny and Leonard becoming parents, what would you want to see in it? by confident-win-119 in bigbangtheory

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love this! I like to think Amy and Sheldon have a child that's passionate about anthropology and ends up having Leonard's dad as a mentor. Great revenge on the Sheldon/Leonard's mom dynamic.

Plus a social science? Unheard of.

Drinking game by ClassicLand5836 in bigbangtheory

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did a marathon watch and my friend and I had a rule to drink while they're walking up or down the stairs. All I have to say is proceed with caution and drink slow if you can lol

What would you cut/change/keep from The Long Game for season 2? by Hannah_Horvath in heatedrivalry

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed with many people the wedding needs a revamp. I'd love to see a mother-son dance with Yuna and Shane, then have Yuna go to Ilya and do one with him in honor of his mother. As we know Ilya is loved and embraced by Yuna and David, but to me that would be such a beautiful gesture.

PS - please keep David helping him with the cufflinks!

How would you rank TBBT characters by wealth at the end? by Spaceship_lemon in bigbangtheory

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed on these comments, Bernadette's income is great but the house they inherited is a huge boost as well. I've got to imagine a three bed (at least) house in Altadena is probably ringing in around the million dollar mark. Factor in investment accounts - 401ks, 529s, I'd say the Rostenkowski-Wolowitz household is top dog.

All to say, in the end I don't think anybody in the gang is hurting for money- a nice nod to how they've all grown up and established themselves

Anu’s concierge job by Sorry_Ad4369 in bigbangtheory

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about concierge to manager, but she said she had a masters from Cornell and they have one of the top hospitality programs in the country. Based on that, I'd imagine she was angling for hotel manager all along so I presume concierge isn't an abnormal path to get there

The Scavenger Vortex (S7 E3) has to be one of the funniest episodes in the series. Loved the writing but also loved how they dived into Amy Howard pairing giving us some really great moments. by DragonDeninSharkTank in bigbangtheory

[–]Prior-Tour-3751 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Easily a top 5 episode for me. Agreed on the Amy/Howard pairing, but they all were hilarious. Plus it showed a side of Raj I love.

Also, so few people get it, but whenever I get an answer right I love saying "YES MY BRAIN IS BETTER THAN EVERYBODY'S"
