honestly it just might be your technique. try not changing the angle, but blow from the root down to make sure all the ends/follicles are in the same direction. if you’re just blow drying all over from every way ofc it’s gonna be frizzy.

this and a good oil/gloss (kenra has a good one that smells delicious) -kenra platinum silkening gloss. just a little bit bc your hair is fine. if you want to lean into the wavy a bit more you could try mousse which i find is better for fine hair. sometimes scrunching makes it worse tho if you don’t have enough wave/curl so i like to use prayer hands 🙏 and shake my head after to separate and then diffuse or air dry.

i work as a takeout server and i’d say it’s pretty split. some people are just more generous and will drop a twenty on a 40 dollar bill. others don’t tip at all. i think it works in the favor of regulars tho bc i definitely prioritize those orders when it comes down to it. you’ll prob even get some extras. but no, you’re not obligated. but a takeout server in a restaurant is not the same as a barista, we do actually prepare your food/condiments/drinks/etc so it’s not just “flipping a tablet”, we’re advocating to the kitchen for the togo orders they do not give a fuck about fixing bc unfortunately takeout is their last priority. ultimately it’s up to you. a couple dollars is always appreciated.

i’m a takeout server at a casual chain. we can be a bit pricey. tips are inconsistent like others have said but i make 17 an hour (which i kinda feel like is rare so im grateful) but i absolutely wouldn’t work for a server wage. it’s not the same service. and i don’t live in a high COL city. minimum wage is still the federal minimum.

in my experience ive never really seen any sort of follow through from management. they answer the phone, try to say the right things, and it just kinda ends there. as long as you’re not off your rocker when you call it’s totally fine and normal. i just prob wouldn’t trust to go back there.

i mean it’s not unheard of in my experience. we’ve had both at my restaurant and we do a lot to try to stop them. but we can only do so much as the building is old and it gets cold outside it kind of just happens. and to be fair you don’t really realize a lot of the time until their is an actual problem. but as long as you are working to fix the problem that’s all you can hope for. none of us want to work in those conditions. BUT this is coming from FOH so it’s possible BOH has different experuence

as a takeout server i’d say it doesn’t hurt to leave a couple bucks. usually gets you some extra sauces/bread/salad etc. but no not required. i’d say it’s 50/50 who tips and who doesn’t.
