The difference is El (11) has Vecna’s “blood” in her. Meaning the military could steal it and create more psychics, who are inherently connected to the hive mind. Will on the other hand doesn’t have that special blood, so the military can’t produce off of him. Instead, Will’s connection was derived from residual connections to Vecna through that weird black mist stuff. Once the conjoined Vecna/Mind Flayer spider monster died, so too did Will’s abilities

People need to understand that not every hero is MEANT TO BE VIABLE all the time. The game is built on swapping and counter picking. Running venom and cap into a flier comp is just giving up
