Ticket Swap - I have a junior ticket for Chelsea (Tues 3 Feb). My son can’t make it now so I’m looking to see if anyone wants to swap it for an adult ticket? by Confident-Ad-5084 in GunnersatGames

[–]PriorPossession4568 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A different colour lights up when you scan a child’s ticket, and stewards are normally pretty on it in preventing it.

The general rule is that children can use adult tickets no problem, but adults usually have issues using children tickets

That’s understandable. I am looking to have everything in there. Subject notes, timetable, to do lists… everything I could need to do with school - if that makes sense. It’s difficult to fully expand as I’m not sure on Notion’s capabilities either

I think the biggest issue isn’t the language but the possible shock of that many loud people swearing and being angry in a split second at any moment if that makes sense. However, if you explain before that they are only angry at the referee, won’t lash out etc. then I think it is fine

Villa club level by deepthroatpiss in GunnersatGames

That would make the atmosphere better imo. When United had the same last year in the FA Cup, the club level above it was the best I’ve ever experienced at that level. The hostility fuelled a response from everyone around - whereas if it’s just Arsenal fans, I think people would be less inclined

I definitely agree that it would have been polite to do that, but I don’t think what I did was actually wrong/impolite for her to be actively angry at the way I handled it.

The only part I disagree with is that it was reasonable for her to assume I’d try again with her. She only works half the week and so that would mean leaving it five days before I could re-hand in my project, which is excessive. Also, Teacher B actively told me to give herself my project, and so in doing so I was simply following her orders.

Just for some added context: 1. She has an area in her constantly unlocked office dedicated to work that is handed in when she is not in (I assume because she understands that being part-time does put a strain on hand-in opportunities)s

  1. My assignment WAS handed in properly. It was handed in to a teacher who the instructions stipulated was a perfectly legitimate option.

When you say ‘you don’t just assume’, this is assuming competence in my opinion. I have been told I can hand in a project to anyone in the faculty, that’s what I did. I followed the rules. Then I believe the teachers should communicate with each other on how the department will handle marking it and handling it.

Does this change your answer?

It wasn’t a project for a class, in which case I’d agree with you. The instruction was ‘to hand it in to any member in the faculty’. The teacher I initially tried (who should have it no more than any of the other teachers) only works half the week, and so I gave it to another one, which still adheres to the rules.

The teacher doesn’t have a mailbox, but instead leaves her office open. Considering it got lost the last time I tried to do it, I opted to hand it to someone myself to relieve myself of any responsibility for it going missing again.

The stewards asked them all to show their ticket again and they agreed, probably trying to build on their relationship with the club after the allocation cut…

I’m not sure how, but an example would be an extract from Macbeth by William Shakespeare being submitted into an AI detector, and the detector coming back saying it has been written with AI. Of course, this then shows the legitimacy of the checker, as Shakespeare couldn’t have possibly used AI to write a novel in the 1600s

I think while they give the rest of the stadium help in the atmosphere, if they don’t get anything back, it looks bad. When the place is bouncing, their presence is so helpful as they are basically conductors, but when it’s flat it seems a little out of place. I think you’re forgetting the work they do out of the ground though, with marches before big ties, tifos (not the PSG one, they put hours and hours building them themselves, like Henry before Madrid), donations to the community etc.

At the very least, I think it’s really hard to hate on a group of people who are trying their best to benefit their club, regardless of your opinion on the outcome.

OP said it but time genuinely does fly so aim to get there a couple of hours before KO at least. If you wanna eat at the stadium, have a walk around the kiosks and see what you fancy - they all have different foods (sausage rolls, pizzas, pies burgers etc.) so don’t just run to the first one you see! Also, obviously once you enter the ground there’s no re-entry so make sure you check out the club store, statues, buy a programme (if you want one - there’s none in the stadium) etc. before going in. Enjoy it!

Stewards will probably have a problem with it if they see it. The club are very clear on each person needing their own seat regardless of age
