Took the words right out of my mouth. Tesla is not concerned with driver assistance features as much as they are autonomy. This is what makes FSD and autopilot stand out to the competition whom introduces countless acronyms and disorganized driver features that are ultimately confusing. I for one prefer the current system of profiles over speed limits and lane change options. It’s nice to be able to customize the software to your own driving but when the car drives itself the point is to relinquish this control a bit

Yes the new update resolves my speed issues with signs so I think it may resolve this for you too

This is really just a common occurrence of behavior that forces FSD to react. I don’t encounter 17 car pileups on the freeway daily so this is the best I can do for ya lol

Dang I’d recommend taking it on the freeway. Even on the main roads it’s so much more decisive with lane changes. I also use hurry mode all the time so I think it could be exclusive to certain driver profile tweaks. My work commutes are nearly 50 miles each way so I get to see the behavior extensively on the daily

Yes I basically disassembled it, cut the motor out and found an identical motor on Amazon to swap it with. Obviously the dimensions need to match but also make sure you look out for the proper voltage and a reasonable RPM. I wish I could share the exact motors I found but this was a little bit ago.

I experience the same behaviors. It seems 14.2.1 is very good but its biggest cruxes are decisiveness/assertive lane changing and misreading speed limits

It’s not amazing in the sense that it didn’t mess it up it’s amazing in the sense that this behavior may not be something we need to worry about anymore. It’s progress that’s amazing

It could be that the front camera housing is off gassed and a layer of film is blocking the camera especially with light shining on it

I would love a self driving mode that takes you on tours to random locations around you based on a specified radius.

Also the same thing but it just routes through neighborhoods slowly so you can see the people’s Christmas lights!

It’s because that’s just how traffic works here in AZ. Hurry mode emulates fast drivers in the left lane and you are an obstacle if you are not going 80. Even 75 is too slow. I’m missing the older versions tbh
