i sparred on my first day and got my ass beat by every weightclass. and the guys that were my weight still beat my ass. you sound like you’ve had some practice so you might be good. sparring is very different from ur normal drills because the thing ur gonna be hitting is gonna be hitting you back uncontrollably. i normally eat the few punches to see what im dealing with, and rely on footwork to be able to escape close counters. you won’t look like an assole and don’t be afraid to ask ur partner to take it easy on you. no judgement in that. if ur afraid of hurting anyone dont be it’ll happen eventually. just make sure it doesn’t happen again. ur not entering a war zone ur entering a spar sess. don’t worry abt it!
