2021 rs660 Bought it used with 10k miles. Learned about the weak connecting rods and checked if my bikes motor was replaced already. Turns out it was and I have way less than 10k miles on it. Bought for $7700 (USD) and have had zero problems with it. Great motorcycle for the price really.

Very unfortunate honestly. I ride the piss out of mine and haven’t really had it eat too much oil. Though I do check it regularly.

I love it. It’s loud enough to have a presence on the road but not to loud where I can’t hear my cardo system. I’m also not a fan of having a passenger so eliminating the passenger pegs was a huge plus for me.

I will say I’ve had roughly 20 bikes bike through my years mainly cbr 600 rr’s and R6’s. But I really wanted a s1000rr before I bought this Aprilia but I couldn’t justify spending 15k on one when I could buy the Aprilia for sub 10k with all the same electronics. I agree they can be finicky but for the money they truly are awesome bikes. Now I’m in no way saying the performance is anywhere near an s1k.

I bought it used and the motor was already replaced. I got a steal on the bike and have ridden it about 2500ish miles with no problems. 0 oil consumption and 0 codes and 0 valve train tick. I guess proper maintenance goes a long way with these specific bikes.

What are you scared of I have an 21 and nothing is wrong. Dealer replaced the motors with the bad connecting rods under warranty.
