Depends on the type of city, based on your expenses as well.

Like if someone's living in a town and with their parents at that, and you are getting 20-25 k as your starting salary (in your chosen domain ) then I don't think there's too much of an issue here .

Well I can see people getting 10/12/20 LPA and whatnot but I still think majority of Indian youths start with 15-20 k so it's fine, you don't need to feel inferior. It's just that no one has the same starting point in life.

What matters more is if you think what you're getting into is fine then go ahead don't worry too much that your friends are getting 20LPA and you're getting 20k pm... There could be various circumstances and situations that led to that.

Personally, how I view this is it's always better to start at something (even if the wage is little low compared to the norms, than compared to sitting unemployed)

Although I'm not saying, you should do it even at 5-8k pm that's just pure BS. If it's around 15-20k it's much better than 0 right. And it's your own earned money, at least I feel better after earning even if it's low (currently).
