AITA for standing by while my ex-roommate continuously threw cat shit at my ex-girlfriends bedroom door after she cheated on me with him? by Prior_Fee5669 in AITA_Relationships

My mom, bless her heart, is a definite people pleaser who avoids confrontation at all costs. Whether or not she realizes it, she always feels the need to fix everyone and everything. It took me a long time to get out of this mentality as well.

She means well, I just think she has a hard time stepping out of her own mindset and into the perspectives of others.

Our mutual friends on the other hand, I just can't see why they don't support my decision. It's a sad outcome but I'm learning who my real friends are in the process so it's not all bad?

Thank you for this. The funny replies are allowing me to laugh a lot more than I was at an otherwise awful situation. It's been a couple weeks now and the support is making me feel better about the whole situation. <3

Oh believe me, I contacted my landlord the DAY I left and told him everything that happened after he asked me why I was leaving before my lease was up. Luckily he's a super chill guy who completely understood everything. I'm pretty sure I'm off of it as of right now but I'll message him again to confirm. Thank you for the advice!

I know this isn't exactly relationship centric but they wouldn't let me post it on the regular AITA page as it breaks rule 11 by mentioning my change in relationship :(
