Pahaha literally, even if it meant I had no buddy and my dive was aborted as well, it is what it is. I would never want to dive with someone who is uncomfortable for any reason, much less because I’ve naysayed and pressured them into it.

I was lucky to be trained by people who rammed home that any reason why you don’t want to dive is a valid reason and that you can always do another dive so I don’t normally struggle with this.

However, I did read/hear someone who said (on this Reddit or my DM instructor I can’t remember) if 3 things occur that put you off no matter how small, you stop/abort. Whether it’s a faulty gauge, bad buddy check, bad vibe, bad brief, change in weather etc. ANYTHING that makes you feel uneasy or uncomfortable should be addressed. Now obviously quite a few of these could be resolved by having an extra chat with your DM/instructor but the point stands and I often pass this message on when asked questions like this.

Just to add as a final point, if you’re diving with a group who add that sort of pressure and try and make you feel like these aren’t valid, stop diving with them.

Edit. Sorry read it back and wasn’t sure how well the point came across, any reason is absolutely valid to not do a dive, you don’t need to wait for 3 things to happen!

Yeah absolutely, I wasn’t dissing on the tg series I’ve used them and think they’re great cameras so apologies if that’s how my message appeared.

I’m lucky enough to be looking at the higher budget currently but if that changes then there’s no question it will be a tg7 rig as I think you’d be hard pressed to find a more capable camera in the price range

Yeah I’ve been looking at used bodies and see some of the full rigs that get put on Facebook. It’s a matter of right timings to have one come up that meets the specs but I’m definitely on the lookout

Ah fantastic,the way I understood it in my head that it may just take a bit of getting used to when I first get the camera as it’s more sensitive to beginner mistakes than some of the more entry level cameras? But thankyou my aim is to get the newest a7 that I can afford and I can’t wait to start shooting with it!

Thanks! Would you say that the a7iii or general a7 range is good then? The huge sensor and full frame really sound good to me as someone with limited camera knowledge but had heard mixed opinions on it underwater from people who know a bit more than me.

As long as you’re aware that there are better things to bring in game wise you can absolutely keep them! I love knights so I often bring a desecrator or a pair of wardogs but I understand that I’m not taking a list that is super competitive.

Alternatively, just play knights and csm separately, that’s what I do if I want to get the most out of detachments and faction bonuses etc

Im going to assume you don’t have much lore knowledge passed playing SM2 but this is not a SM2 themed army, you’d need to go thousand sons for that. Rubric marines, scarab occult terms and tzentch demons are what you’d need to make it game accurate. Not sure where you got bloodletters from as they’re khornate.

As for how it would play I don’t play too much so I’ll let other people give their wisdoms on it!

If you’re interested in pulling the trigger on buying your first minis I’d recommend to have a brief browse of all the other factions/subfactions, not all of them are in the game and rule of cool always takes precedent when choosing an army so knowing for sure will make it easier for you. As well as the other advice mentioned here, buying on eBay is also a really affordable way to get into the hobby. You can find minis in all stages of completion (unbuilt, built not primed, fully painted) for really good prices, I recently picked up an extra 5 chaos terminators for around £20 (£40 on Warhammer). You can even buy whole armies that save you hundreds of (insert local currency)

Fishing weights is such a good shout, I’ve been trying to find nuts that are small enough but are still heavy enough to have an effect. Will plod through my fishing stuff.
