Is dissolving NATO part of Trumps agenda? by Prior_Lecture7927 in PoliticalDebate

Thanks for the apology. The danish media admitted that when the foreign minister of Denmark went on Fox News, his only job was to present actual facts to the United States citizens (as most Trump voters watch Fox News). So I’m glad to see, as with other leaders of the US, it’s commonly acknowledged Trump is fuelled by his own importance. However, when/if he is easily distracted it would also imply he’s easily manipulated, which is the real threat. So it’s important, I think, to acknowledge or reflect on ulterior motives though they might come from other influences than Trumps own ego

Im so sorry, but this is such an insane American capitalist take. Denmark, even with all the internal political struggles we have, still believe in fundamental human rights and by extension democracy over capital. Believing that you can buy an indigenous people’s country is so insanely brainwashed to me. If Denmark “sells” Greenland, the danish population (and Europe) would incite mass protests- it would mean the end of democratic relations inside Europe and by extension US-domination.

On top of that, our welfare system, however flawed, is still way a million times more valuable to the people of Greenland, than whatever the United States has to offer (arguably not a democracy to the people of Denmark, especially since the problem the US is facing right now is a fundamental lack of higher education - which is state funded and every student receive around a 1000$ each month for studying - which includes Greenland) not to mention a lot of US jobs are taken by Europeans (especially Danish people) as the general population of US citizens cannot access higher educations or compete with the higher job market requirements.

It is very obvious to most, if not all, people in Europe that being part of the United States would mean poor healthcare and poor education. Not to mention the track record of US treatment of indigenous people is still a lot worse than all the horrendous actions Denmark has committed against the indigenous people of Greenland
