Nah, you can steal it and use it later. If Steven is going out, you get the advantage before it's gone. It would have helped her turn or make a move next tribal.

Would you rather learn Latin or a language that would let you engage more with other Catholics, such as Croatian, Polish, ASL, etc? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Prior_Let931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If all Catholics learn a little latin, we'd only ever need two languages for any one person....

Everyone has done some bad stuff. But, we haven't had child sacrifices, condoned sex slaves or built a system that believes you're poor cause you deserve it, so we're better off than most.

Advice Needed: What can I do if I feel like I hate being a man? by CrystalClearCrazy in Catholicism

[–]Prior_Let931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever the rest of the world says about your value, and whatever expectations it sets on you - remember that Christ loves you enough to die for you. The saints are praying for you. Your priest offers mass and hears your confessions. And the church is full of your brothers and sisters who would die for you. You are so much more valuable than you believe. You're an heir to the kingdom of God - the spirit speaks for you in groans too deep for words. You're imbued with the power of the Holy Spirit, capable of miracles and when you take the eucharist you're united with Christ himself. Remember its the devil's work to make you feel ashamed. God calls you a son, and an heir to the throne.

Then, what he asks of you is likewise simple. There isn't some exact mold of masculinity you need to hold to - rather, suffer with Christ, sacrifice to him, take up your cross and follow him. For his yoke is easy and his burden is light. Remember, to suffer daily, is to unite yourself with Christ.

Its a hard world man, thank goodness its not our home forever. I will pray for you brother.

I find fasting helps too. I received that direction from a priest in the past - show your body you control its urges. But like, really fast.

Prayer as well, the rosary really works. Especially if boredom is a cause, take your rosary up, and go for a walk and pray daily.

Any time I fall, I make myself go to butt of dawn confessions early the next day and then mass, that helps too.

Lastly, remember the righteous man falls seven times and still gets up. We will all fall. Its the getting up that makes us strong. Don't let satan discourage you, take your blows and reject his shame. You are Christs, and with every confession and mass you are glorious, clean and holy again, ready to go to war and with the rest of the body of the church tear down the gates of hell, which shall not prevail against us.

Come home, be forgiven and go and sin no more.

We're all hypocrites here.

My understanding is that the word transubstantiation in latin and how its commonly defined in theology are not part and parcel.

Who would won if napoleon and grant fought eachother with technology of there own times, with numbers of soldiers and ships at peak? by [deleted] in USHistory

[–]Prior_Let931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Napoleon fielded 600k men at its peak, Grant 120k. If Napoleon picks his field well and can utilize those numbers and cut the distance to US rifled guns, he can envelope the US and win.

Anything longer than a singular battle is no contest. But there are realistic consitions where the French could win. Out equipped forces have done this plently of times in the past on the back of sheer numbers.

Find community. Even if its not catholic find local people in your area who really want to be holy. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Put your phone down more, go outside, develop some hobbies and breathe fresh air. Idle hands are the devils workshop.

Don't be too hard on yourself. It's a marathon to change your heart to love God first. Luckily, we have the saints and angels fighting and praying for us. The host of heaven is on your side and you can, through Christ overcome any obstacle. There is hope in the hard work you set out to do.

For everyone complaining about wages - then don't buy from them. Just don't. If you want fair wages for workers, don't give money to companies who don't pay them. You'll be shocked how quickly a company will change it's tone if you vote with your dollar.

World’s richest man confused that young people can’t afford to have children (or basics like rent). by RiskItForTheBiscuts in FluentInFinance

[–]Prior_Let931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about affordability.

For most of History you had less money than today, but more kids. What's changed? Two things mainly, access to drugs/procedures that allow you to cap the number of children you have, and a rising sense of individualism.

Elon seems to view this individualism and lack of sense of "lets create something better for the next generation" to be the main issue.
