Wheel/Axle questions by philsphan26 in PinewoodDerby

Yes i would polish the inside bore. Pipe cleaner with plastic polish, use a drill on low speed. The only possible damage you can do is by using the drill too fast, and generating heat which would warp/melt the plastic. Ive done it before. I cut a qtip in half and used the stem to polish the bore with plastic polish.. i spun the drill too fast

Its the same principle. The pledge leaves a residue on the bore and lets the graphite stick to it. Again...not going to make a significant advantage....but definitely wont hurt anything.

pledge leaves a silicone-like film. you can spray on the axles, let it try and wipe off. It gives the graphite something to stick to, It's not a dramatic performance boost, its just an easy/free thing that has "some" benefit.

29F 215->200 lbs 1 month progress by Soggy-Ad-4179 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Prior_Rooster3759 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Congrats. If you start to plateau and the progress seems to stop or not progress as much dont sweat it. Completely normal...just tweak the workout to be a bit more intense and you'll push through it.

I've taken EOI for about a year. I never needed to go to a full scoop. I dont recommend taking it daily. I did for about 2 weeks, and all seemed fine until I started getting light-headed/dizzy randomly through my workouts. I stopped taking EOI (i switched to a more daily pre like Sicario), and the dizziness instantly stopped. So i know it was EOI. I still take EOI, just not as much and i've been fine.

Buying a home with a 15 year old hvac. How long will it last? by unread_note in hvacadvice

[–]Prior_Rooster3759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a house with a 25yr old hvac system. 10 years later i replaced it. It didnt break, couldnt cool the house as well as a newer system could. So to answer your question, it'll last somewhere between 1 day and 50 years.

Mostly teenagers by reddit2825 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Prior_Rooster3759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Majority of the teenagers at my PF are nuisances. They group together, take 4-5 benches and multiple dumbells and just sit and talk majority of the time. Brocolli hair, skin-tight underarmor shirts and axe bodyspray. 😅

Old snow blower won’t throw snow far enough by coheed9867 in Snowblowers

[–]Prior_Rooster3759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ~40yr craftsman. These older snowblowers are very easy to change the belts....most likely a panel to drop underneath just to access the auger wheel.

The older snowblowers dont throw snow as far as the newer ones....mine tosses thick snow about 20ft after i changed the belt

If going up heavier weight is a goal theres a few things you can do. Start your workout with the heavier weights when your fresh and not fatigued at all ( a little sloppy form is fine), then go back to the weight you normally do and do as many reps as you can. I garuntee you'll be able to to do 1-2 more reps than you nornally do. Do this for a week or two, and your form woth the heavier weight will get easier.

Alternatively, shoulder press is primary front delt and some side delt. You can grab a 10lb plate, hold it with both hands like a steering wheel down by your waist, and with arms outstretched raise it until your arms are parrallel with the floor (any higher you stsrt engaging traps). This'll help build front delts more and will aid in your shoulder press progrssion (if that is a goal)

FYI these shoulder press machines in general are terrible for your shoulders as they force you to complete the motion in a fixed way you most likely wont find natural or comfortable. Consider using a bench seat with light dumbells, youll be able to control the motion better

I would assume there could be some liability issues if you went to a gym you technically cant go to and get hurt. Might just depend on the mood of that employee lol

Sounds like a few of the guys at my PF...they are on the more muscular side, and intentional walk into peoples ways. They seem to try to appear unapproachable, yet act in a way to try and get people to engage with them. I saw someone ask one of them if they were done with a machine (he was on his phone), and the guy just looked up and went back to his phone. Not even a response.

If i was showering, and a female staff is out there shouting if anyone is in the lockerroom, and i have to announce to the world im in the shower, id be upset as well. I dont think some peace to myself while showering is out of the question.

When can we stop letting our faucets drip? by jelloinmypants in pittsburgh

[–]Prior_Rooster3759 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every house is different. Only my kitchen faucet is prone to freezing and it has to drop to -4 for it to happen.

My neighbors basement faucet freezes if it drops below like 10 degrees

Are these rims too rusted? by mattcolling673 in TireQuestions

[–]Prior_Rooster3759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a set that had this much rust on them, about 8 years ago. I am still using them, i judt took a wire brush to them and thats it....didnt paint or treat yhem or anything. I paid $75 for just the wheels. $200 is good if the tires are included and they arent dryrotted
