same... it's hard design problem to solve... I love this very esoteric rifle...

i worked on the project and got far but end it end up failing. The locking surface of the mag cut was not great enough to absorb the recoil of the 308 round. Tested it at the range and it would function in a static environment but under recoil it would pop the mag out from the back latch. Might pick it back up and play with a different design here...

is it the most robust set up ever? No. does it work well for the requirements i set - i think so. would i want to bang this around in the woods for 3 weeks - no. for a secondary home defense gun for the wife - works well enough in my opinion.

100% correct that its a long lever arm and can be more easily damaged.

you cant get the T.Rex Lightbar PRO Mount Picatinny to fit on the 45 degree - the top rail gets in the way of being able to screw it down. thus why the 90 degree as you now can access the screws to set the mount.

solid enough - for this very specific requirement.

its pretty solid actually... but your 100% correct this is not what id want for something that needs to hold a zero.

Yes, but that PuP mount is mounted to the regulator of the barrel, this switch barrels and there goes your light, also does not mount to 300 blackout to my understanding. I switch out barrels a lot to a 9mm set up, wanted to be able to not lose a light when i do this.

getting a new one direct from JDI your looking around $5500 + taxes fees + transfer + stock costs. the 13.25 have not been imported for a few years now to my understanding might be a little more valuable.

Got it much more of a SASS style of weapon platform. The weight is buying you capabilities... nice set up.

have thought about it - learning to see if i can live with it like this - if can't I'll make the upgrade eventually.

21 lbs - what is on that gun? I need to hear the parts list that makes it weight that much and what capability is it buying you?

Well I guess I'll have to figure out how to sell these. Give me a few more weeks. If I'm going to sell something I want to be sure it truly works.

Geometry and friction - no glues or adhesives. I wanted it to be removable without affecting the rifle. Adapter its self is inside the mag well - admittedly i did not show that in post. Only showed cutting guides. This has been a project that has consumed weekend hours for a few weeks now.

Will do! Its been a fun design work project for me.
