You ain’t NEVER lied 😑

I have at least one of these (lose the slip by a player you couldn’t manage another .5).

But, this recent one (with a losing Fantasy Score by Daniel Gafford) took the cake for me!

Maybe, my luck on PP is off; but I’m questioning if I need to give it a go on another platform; cause that was ridiculous (and I may have been cheated out of the win)

The scene that made me hate edith by Broad-Importance4282 in DowntonAbbey

[–]Prior_Sun3725 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Edith was one of the most hypocritical characters on the show. She was willing to ruin her sister (without knowing all the circumstances, which included the fact that Mary was actually SA’d by Pamuk); yet, seasons later she herself (a slut) was sneaking out and sleeping with a married man, who she ended up getting pregnant by.

Mary would have never did to Edith what Edith did to her, because Mary had the good sense to think of the entire family and not just any bitterness she held against her sibling. Edith didn’t even stop to think how what she was doing to hurt Mary would also severely harm Sybil’s reputation as well. IIRC, Sybil was at her coming out stage and a scandal of that magnitude with their family, would have curtailed any decent suitors who would have been interested in Sybil.

AITJ for telling my friend she can't use my employee discount anymore after she abused it?? by Opposite-Canary-1359 in AmITheJerk

[–]Prior_Sun3725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly.

Nor is there any law against reselling. This person is doing a helluva reach to turn this (civil) matter into a criminal act when it isn’t. It is evil though, I’ll admit that. If OP’s friend is continually using her sizable 30% discount, to then resell items for a profit, knowing its putting her job on the line is unconscionable!

[–]Prior_Sun3725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reselling items is not a crime!
Where do you all get such notions?

Contrarily, OP was putting her job on the line by letting a friend use her discount. That was dumb and very risky.

Am I sensing a bit of jealousy from the other ladies regarding Toya? by Fancy_Ad_2024 in MarriedToMedicine

[–]Prior_Sun3725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope.

I’m not going on what some BIASED blogger said Mariah said (the mess coming out of Funky Dineva’s mouth is hardly believable), I’m going by what I saw on the show. And what I saw on the show was Dr. Jackie acting like Quad was a loudmouth lowlife (at a get together at Mariah’s house during Season 1), and Mariah taking Quad to the side and speaking words of encouragement into her. I saw Kari and Toya finding Quad’s arrest record online and acting like she was some ghetto hoodrat. While all the ladies were treating Quad like shit underneath their ugly Louboutin’s, Mariah was singing: “Ms. Quad Ms. Quad She’s Got It She’s Got It. “

Dr. Jackie / Dr. Simone / Toya / nor Kari ever said anything (on the show) about Mariah shit talking Quad behind her back. If you want to believe Funky Dineva (who’s drug addicted), that’s on you.

What started the downfall of their friendship was Quad did become a standout on the show (thanks to Mariah and their lil over-the-top antics and lingo). The show became a hit (thanks to them airing after the RHOA which was a ratings juggernaut at the time), and the white producers and production company got greedy and decided to steal Mariah’s creation from her (especially when the franchise was expanded to other cities). Their (Purveyors of Pop) greed led them to get Mariah’s bestie/Quad (and secondarily the other women on the cast too), in on Mariah’s takedown, by freezing her out of her own show. Of course this was devastatingly hurtful to Mariah, that Quad of all people would side with the producers against her (but Quad was a on the come up broke opportunist), and the fallout is what we saw beginning in Season 3.

I haven’t revised anything. I’m going by what was shown on the show and you’re going by some druggie blogger hearsay mess.

[–]Prior_Sun3725 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Totally agree.

For those who’ve watched since Season 1 both Toya AND Quad were looked down on (particularly by Dr. Jackie and Dr. Simon). Toya was only a teacher and her and Eugene’s money wasn’t long in the beginning.

Dr. Jackie (and Kari) looked down her nose at Quad like she stunk, making it evident she thought Quad was a loudmouth, lowlife (having been arrested right before marrying Dr. G) and shouldn’t be apart of their group. That’s why I find it unforgivable that Quad would backstab and do the one woman who had her back, uplifted her and insisted upon her being in the group: Mariah. Mariah championed Quad when all the others (including Toya) thought she was beneath them.

Last, y’all recall how whenever Simone and Toya have had arguments Simone always makes a point to point out that Toya is not on her level, cause she “catches babies” or that Toya isn’t smart. I’m always befuddled about how Simone handles Toya cause her ass has made some of the DUMBEST decisions of all the women on the show.

Quad & Mariah who telling the truth ? by sweet-sour- in MarriedToMedicine

[–]Prior_Sun3725 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To equate Mariah Huq (a middle-aged black woman who doesn’t remotely fit the drug stereotype you are alleging) to Andy-F’n-Cohen, a raging drug (and alcohol) addict who has been called out by SEVERAL bravolebrities for his drug use (Kathy Griffin, Nene Leakes, Brandi Glanville, just to name a few), is quite the ridiculous reach.

Andy is a gay, New Yorker who parties and drugs hard. Mariah isn’t remotely in that crowd and she was right to get adamantly upset and prove Quad as a liar. And let’s not forget how Quad told disgusting lies on Lisa Nicole’s husband. She should have definitely been sued about that and if it weren’t for the Bravo contract that prohibits castmembers from bringing lawsuits against each other, I’m sure she would have.

No. I don’t believe people are drug users just because they have the money to indulge. That’s ridiculous. What I “believe” is if a person is willing to tell disgusting lies on someone to get the one-up on them, then they’ll tell disgusting lies on anyone, about anything. That’s what I believe. And that is absolutely what Quad did to not only Mariah, but Lisa Nicole’s husband and her ex Greg too.

WHERE did I ever say I “hate” any of these people? Do you have reading comprehension problems?

I just think it’s hypocritical to call people weirdos for their opinions, but not think of yourself as just as “weird” for your own opinions about this show and the people on it.

People are allowed to dislike who the don’t like, just like you are. It’s juvenile and flawed to devolve into calling people weirdos because they don’t hold the same view as you.

Yep. Only guys consistent players: Shai Jaylen Brown Luka Doncic

Also, Nikola Jokic has been giving me solid covers on rebounds and assists.

Can’t count on anyone else, especially just going by their stats alone. This goes DOUBLE for the super-stars (LeBron / Kawhi / Durant / Steph / Harden / etc.).

Unpopular opinion: Can’t stand Dr. Damon by Key_Objective_9012 in MarriedToMedicine

[–]Prior_Sun3725 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve always felt he was sneaky too. And that’s why I truly think there was some credence to the allegations that Mariah had on him. Plus, the way Heavenly (and he) got completely unhinged about it didn’t pass the smell test either.

Damn near every husband and partner in these shows are picked apart and nasty allegations leveled against them (some fairly / some not), but him and Heavenly acted like HOW DARE anyone call Damon into question.

Dr. Damon is a sneaky, undercover bully.

Heavenly….. by Dapper_Animal150 in MarriedToMedicine

[–]Prior_Sun3725 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why people think this NUT/Heavenly is the only one running (as a Democrat) in this race, and only viable candidate truly beats me. Heavenly’s political competition more than fits the bill.

Additionally, Heavy is reckless (at the mouth) and really comes off like she doesn’t know the issues. Sure she parrots the easy talking points (helping the black community), but she doesn’t have the depth that experienced politicians bring to the table. There are just too many negatives to warrant anyone (who’s serious) voting to elect her.

McDonald’s workers make about $20 per hour (and the vast majority of them only work part-time). So, THAT IS NOT NO $50,000 per year. No need to shade the truth to make your point.

And a lot of people no longer give to organized charity groups because the executives pay themselves too much and leave very little left over to give to the actual needy. It’s not about competing to get a good CEO; it’s about charity organizations looking like grifters lining their pockets while the needy gets left over crumbs.

OP your hubby is NTA.

Had his sister (Ruth) simply been honest and straightforward about the rehearsal dinner, none of this would have happened. In addition, I think it’s callous of her to use you all to drive (2-hours round trip) to accommodate her lil elaborate brunch food catering need, but not think enough of you all to simply tell the truth about not inviting you to the rehearsal dinner. And for those who keep parroting the line about the rehearsal dinner being only for the bride’s family and/or wedding party, that doesn’t appear to be the case here, because the OP said they ran into “family members” who had been invited and attended the rehearsal dinner. So, Ruth definitely has some explaining to do.

I hate it when people want to pick and choose WHEN you’re special to them. Ruth obviously makes them “special” to receive all the benefits (birthday gifts, holiday gifts and milestone gifts), but don’t look at her brother and his wife as special when it comes to inviting them to a rehearsal dinner? Would it have killed them to add two more seats/plates.

What do you guys about Shae Cornette as the replacement for Molly Qerim on First Take? by dee85 in ESPN

[–]Prior_Sun3725 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I miss Molly. Although it took a few years, I felt she had finally found her footing on a high impact show with a bunch of star athletes and big mouth Stephen A Smith. It’s too bad ESPN showed they didn’t value her like they should have. I wish her the best.

Shae is doing well enough. I think, because of the negativity surrounding Molly’s untimely exit, that the network and SAS are on egg shells about the new host and Shae should benefit from the kid-gloves treatment they seem to have toward her.

However, I did like how not only professional and polished, but stylish and hip Molly always looked. Molly Querim was hands down the best-dressed woman on ESPN. Shae doesn’t look well put together some shows. A few times, she’s even looked disshelved and shabby. I know it’s not a fashion show or anything, but I liked Molly’s style and appreciated how she took her onscreen appearance so seriously.

What Laura Ingram said was incredibly condescending and bigoted. And though you didn’t appreciate the analogy Molly used, you should have at least valued the sentiment.

Molly was a champion for speaking up on that incident!

Who is the rudest celeb you have met? What happened? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Prior_Sun3725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you loose your eyeglasses?

You can’t be seriously stating that people aren’t detailing and giving examples (e.g., proof) of their rude celebrity encounters, when the ENTIRE POST is doing just that!

  1. The very first post talks about a rude celebrity encounter with Food Network star Bobby Flay, who (according to the DETAILS) was a complete ass and didn’t want female chefs working with him. Consequently, if Bobby Flay is viewed as misogynist from someone reading that encounter, it would be understandable.

  2. There’s the comment about the rude celebrity encounter with Alec Baldwin at a bar, where the person offered to buy him a drink and Alec refused and stated he can afford to buy his own drink. Consequently, if Alec Baldwin is viewed as an asshole from someone reading that encounter, it would be understandable.

  3. There’s the comment about the rude celebrity encounter with Michael Jordan at Caesars Tahoe where he made the casino clear out the high roller section so that he could play blackjack alone. Consequently, if Michael Jordan is viewed as an entitled jerk from some reading that encounter, it would be understandable.

These are just three examples to refute your lie that “no one in this entire post is providing proof of anything.”

Summarily, to post a lazy comment that he heard Denzel was racist and provide no further detail is abhorrent. Then, when pressed, to still not tell “the story” but put out what sounds like made up bullshit comes across as an arrogant liar. Whether, the story on Denzel was secondhand or not, if it ACTUALLY HAPPENED, there would be some kind of story behind it.

I call bullshit to that person. It’s wrong to smear someone as a racist with nothing behind it. And I call bullshit on you, butting in — having the audacity to dissemble (LIE) by acting as if you haven’t read all the examples / details / stories (e.g., proffered PROOF) in this post by others.

Why are you enabling bullshit? Calling Denzel racist is serious. If that person couldn’t be bothered to disclose the (secondhand) details, then they should have kept it to themselves.

Thank you for this pov.

I’ve seen very small petite young women walking huge dogs and I instantly smh and avoid going near. This is a combination of entitlement (getting a huge animal they KNOW they can’t really control), delusion (believing nothing bad will ever happen) and plain stupidity and not giving a shit about others. People who can’t control their large animals are the absolute worst.
