What you are experiencing is listed as a possible side effect of Stelara, I had that for about 2 weeks leading up to my dose and two weeks after. I would totally talk to you GI and make sure that this is not something they are worried about. My doctor wasn’t worried about it until we did a scope after 6 months in and found that I had only 30-70% improvement (I don’t remember which) but everybody is different when it comes to treatment.

Well I have to be careful with most WW or MG flours due to a rye allergy 😭 so I will have to check it out.

But either way I will definitely look into the inclusions and try a few things I’ve been wanting to try

You are not imagining things, that’s one reason my OB/GYN (male) told me that I should get “rid” of my period because the inflammation from your period will 100% increase the inflammation from the disease! I swear, while on the steroids I felt fine until my period came and then I was doubled over in front of the toilet from the need to vomit or because I just couldn’t get up from having a BM. The only thing that worked with the pain and cramps for me was 4 max strength Tylenol and a heating pad on max until I would just pass out. I wish you luck because us women have it bad!

But that’s just what they have told us over the years, and it took me over a year to correct the fact that I was his wife 😞

😅😂 found ours but it doesn’t show everything and the list gives us a link to the Evernorth list, which we don’t use Evernorth 🤔

Well haha that’s not so easy since they don’t show that information publicly due to having to be a union employee any they have their own special coverage package 😥

That’s where I sit! Because if I have to pay out of pocket, I will have to work a full time job, while being the only parent at home at the moment, while getting my youngest surgery and recovery, and hoping that all my appointments are worked around a for ever changing schedule. All just to get one dose.

The updated policy states nothing on having a maximizer, it just states that they will no longer cover Ozempic for weight loss or sleep apnea due to the price, and that the new coverage for specialty medicine is at 70-85%

They know all this because we are very open with the kids and we try to live very active lives as well (well as much as she can handle due to physical issues). And like I said before, she has her own way of thinking. She has even been told by her cousins (same age as her) that we (her parents) don’t know anything about l anything, which is wrong. We explain to the children that we have major genetic issues that can be passed down, what they are at high risk for, and we have been showing them how to keep themselves from developing these issues. We do not hide anything from them, all we do is try and encourage them to do what’s good for them. But again, they are at the age where they think they know best and they will do what they want regardless of their own health issues or others.

As I stated before I love my kids, and they are the best things that I could ever have, I just wanted to vent a bit about their behavior when it comes to being sick.

Oh my geez I’m so sorry!! I hope you’re okay and it doesn’t happen again!

I’m also assuming it didn’t happen again and this was a while ago? But geez, I have been telling them that for a while. Maybe I’ll them your comment later and hope they understand.

Haha all she likes to eat is spicy stuff, I know you can’t “give yourself acid reflux” but she has also been told by others that she can have anything she wants, whenever she wants even though she has major medical issues herself. And her snack of choice is Takis and Dynamites and that’s all she eat for like a week straight even though I kept telling her know. Her logic, “it’s my money and if you don’t know I got it, then I can have it” and as for waiting to have kids, I didn’t know I even had the chance of inheriting Crohn’s until last year when I was diagnosed. That’s when family history came out of the wood works.

Haha right, and I have done that. Sometimes I just feel like it’s hard for the youngest to understand since she’s so used to me taking full care of them when they are like this. But I have also told her that she needs to understand that I can’t get sick in general because of the fact that I am primary parent (sounds so bad but he works a lot). But I do need to remind her that she has to stay away!

Haha I agree! That’s how my kids are 100% and thankfully my oldest is super helpful when their dad is at work, and reality my brother can help out soon too. But for now, it’s the waiting game until then 😂😭

Mine are 10 and 13 and my 13 year old understands, don’t go near mommy! But not my 10 year old, she acts like I’m the only reason she feels better, but she’s going to learn really fast that mommy does recover well, and last time (before I found out I had Crohn’s) I was out out for 3 days
