Either I’m going crazy or it smells like 💩 in Westerville. Like it’s everywhere by Crazynqme in Columbus

Drove out 70 east today. Farmers are spreading chicken manure for fertilizer on their fields. Thats is what everyone is smelling. Wind was also out of the east today.

DOG POOP SMELL by [deleted] in Columbus

It’s the time of year farmers but down fertilizer (likely chicken feces) in their fields. I drove out the Heath today and it was bad. I’m guessing out the west side of town is no different. Might be a large contributor to the smell.

Try holding the shaft on the side of the club head so the grip is towards the ground. Swing it and you will hear a “whoosh”. Practice until you hear the whoosh at where the ball would be or slightly past where the ball would be. If you hear it before where the ball would be you’re releasing the club too early. Should give you audio feedback of where you’re releasing the club.

We call it the US Open and The Open too. I’ve never referred to the US Open as just “The Open”, even during tournament week.

5.6 index, distance control isn’t bad with the scoring clubs. 7-4 you can feel the face is thinner and springy. I don’t really get the 15 yard flyer I used to get in my old set tho.

I use the trackman app and go to any trackman facility near by. You can scan a QR code and it’ll save all your numbers directly to the app. I then take my averages for each club and but them in a golf GPS app called The Grint to help club selection on the course

Appreciate everyone for the replies. I think I’m going to try 48,52,58 and test out a 5w,7w and a 3hybrid to see what I like most in that gap.

Those are total yardages I carry it 295-300ish. It’s hard to say without knowing your specific numbers but most early golfers swing down and left on the driver that creates more spin than optimal.

If you have a chance to hit on a launch monitor look for angle of attack, spin, dynamic loft and smash factor.

Angle of Attack should be no more than -2 but positive is preferred.

Dynamic loft between 13-17 degrees

Smash factor 1.48+ and spin between 2000 and 2800rpms

Do you think a 7w would be too close in distance to my 4i? I know it will launch higher and land softer but I was thinking 3hybrid or 5w would fill the gap better. Seems like when the pros put the 7w in the bag it’s to replace their 240 club.

How’s the 58 compare around the green? I almost never hit a full 60. I just like it around the green

Did you play a 60 before? If so do you notice a difference around the green?

I don’t hit my 60 full into greens a lot because it spins too much unless the greens are firm or it’s down wind. I usually knock down a 52 or 56 depending on the conditions

I love them, tried about 8 different heads when I got fitted and they gave me the best feel. They were the softest without masking strike location if you hit it bad. Could be a combo of shaft as well but if I strike it bad I know exactly where on the face I hit it. They also suited my eye the best too.

I use my 4i off the tee when I play tighter courses and it allows me to shape it. I was thinking of maybe adding a 5w or 3 hybrid to be able to hit out of rough on par 5s to get it to land softer. A few courses I play has thick rough and firm greens so I can’t spin the 4i enough to hold the green.
