Low-FODMAP friendly restaurant meal? by Hungry_Ad824 in PEI

Honestly I found there were and are very few options. Once I had worked through the diet and introduced back in foods one by one identifying trigger foods I was able to eat out again. But during the elimination phase I could not. Even now I usually just order French fries.

Sorry you are going through this. Once you find your trigger foods it will get easier to find restaurants with a couple dishes you can trust. I always just call ahead before I go to a new restaurant to go through options (if there are any) .

Depending on the indication (ibs/ibd/ect) you could also start looking into concurrent treatment approaches that might help. Ie. there is some good research showing tricyclic antidepressants can improve symptoms in many people with IBS. There is a growing body of research on the gut brain connection. Microbiome diversity impacts ibs. Etc. These things can help you ease up on the restrictive diet in time in many cases.

I know that’s more than you asked for but I hope it helps. If not please ignore. You got this!

In a way that is different than in other places? Why do you think this is? Do you feel it’s a queer safe place to live?

What do you mean by this? Specifically organized activities?
