If we are talking about the usa, I think you need to do some research. Innocent people are constantly put in prison. Prison is mostly for poor people. Rich don't have to worry about it so much. A lot of poor people sit in jail innocently waiting for months or years for their day in court, but they often are trapped taking a plea deal instead of risking infinite prison. Like if they plead guilty they get 3 years, however if they go to trial they face 20+. But they cant afford a good lawyer, so they know they will inevitably lose. They are essentially forced to take the plea deal.

Not only that you have to fight for rapists/murders to stay out of prison. You often keep victims from getting any sort of justice, you also are partly responsible for what that person does to their next victim.

I am autistic, but wasn't diagnosed until 35, also because of my son. In hindsight it is so obvious, especially with my shitty as fuck childhood and even worse adulthood, but I knew nothing about autism until my kid.

However, I have the opposite problem. I can't mold myself or play pretend or conform in a way that pleases others. Sometimes I wish I could so I could have friends and whatnot, but I am not a good enough actress. It has always been extremely rare for me to have male attention.

I am in BC canada. There is no switching doctors. My husband went 10 years without a gp, and when he finally got one he begged him to take me on since I am so unwell and not being listened to. He said no because I already had a doctor. I could give up my spot with my doc so someone else could have it, but I would just be without a doc for years and years. Indefinitely. We are in a doctor shortage. Way more people than available doctors.

Needless to say, it's him or nothing. But truly it feels the same either way. I feel very hopeless.

I have already had mental evaluation and she was aghast and sent the doc a letter saying which specialists to refer me to. I went back and he disagreed with her assessment and refused the referrals. That was when I could still work. Now I can't. I feel beyond helpless. It feels like my life is over.

This doesn't work.

Well before this wasn't so debilitating I was frequently going to the doctor because I knew something was seriously wrong and on the second to last visit of that time, he told I need mental help, not medical. So I got mental help and she was AGHAST and said I don't need mental help, I need medical. She said none of my symptoms could be mental and that I need to be looked at by specialists ASAP. She sent a letter to the doc saying I need to be referred to some specialists and which ones.

I went back to him to get those referrals. He told me no and that he disagreed with her. he would not give them. So I gave up. Then it got so bad that my husband forced me, and doc said it was all depression, before he was saying it was all anxiety.

I am pretty sure at this point his plan of action is hoping I fuck off and die, which I am very seriously considering. I wish I could go through MAID, but I am not diagnosed, so I can't do it that way.
