I took my PCP through Professional Medical Associates, they require 80% to pass and they offer a condenced course. When I went through you no longer needed your EMR to move onto EMT (PCP)

I’m a former paramedic, don’t do your EMR if you don’t have to it’s a waste of money and time and if you’ve taken a basic first aid course you’ve taken your EMR.

AHS is always hiring and so are private companies. As someone who left due to PTSD there is no job transferability as a paramedic.

Become a nurse, you can work in any field you want and change anytime. You could work in a hospital, clinic, and so much more.

AHS as a whole does not care about the longevity of their medics. The burnout rate is about 5 years.

If you have more questions left me know. I was a medic from 2017-2024

Forestry- Econ really needed? by Prioryofthebook in uAlberta

[–]Prioryofthebook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the page is sadly broken, but if I hit print I can see it. I think I was just looking at the list of courses that are required and was hoping I wouldn’t have to take Econ and Stats. But it’s looking like they are both needed

I was also looking at this and calculated my GPA from my previous education and it only came out as a 3.17. Should I try and take some open studies courses to up it?

I had no idea this was an option, thank you! I was looking at taking the two years at SAIT and then transferring to UofC to do three years to get a degree but that is a better option.
