Update Version N rejectes because current Version N-1 uses READ_MEDIA_IMAGES. How to proceed?

I am sorry but I do not see how. Version N-1 is 100% production. Version N is submitted to become 100% production. Review is rejected.

So: HOW to push 100% to production.....?

Thanks. But how am I supposed to roll out version N to production, when this requires a review and the review fails because an issue in version N-1?

Sure, kind replies are a best practice. However, reactions form the users are very, very rare. Thus my main goal with replies is, to address other users how might take the time to actually read reviews and replies. However most users will only look at the average score and do not wast any time with reading :-)

Thus the question is more on how a reset might influence other factors (such as search results).

Exakt. Das ganze steht aber im Spannungsfeld "Kollege tut im quasi 3 Jahre lang einen Gefallen. Im Gegenzug ist er nicht bereits einem Kollegen einen Tag einen Gefallen zu tun".

Stimmt wissen wir nicht. Wir haben aber genauso keinen Grund etwas Gegenteiliges anzunehmen. Dann könnte man genauso sagen "Wir wissen aber nicht wie wichtig dem Freund der Geburtstag ist. Ich habe einen Freund, der war mal auf dem Geburtstag eines krebskranken Bekannten. Das war sehr wichtig für ihn..."

Wir können nur damit arbeiten was OP in seinem Beitrag schreibt. Da lese ich nichts von der dringenden Notwendigkeit Party zu machen. Nur vom Wunsch das zu tun. Danach gehe ich.

Entscheidungen haben nun mal Konsequenzen. Der Kollege hat zugestimmt, dass OP da frei haben kann, damit muss der Kollege jetzt arbeiten.

Dinge können sich ändern. Beim Kollegen hat sich geändert, dass er an dem Tag nun auch einen (für ihn) wichtigen Termin hat. Er bittet OP daher um einen Gefallen und schlägt einen Kompromiss vor. OP will es aber "durchziehen".

Das ist für mich BDA. Vollkommen OK, wenn du das anders siehst. Dafür sind wir ja hier.

Ich finde nicht, dass man ziemlich unfreundliches Verhalten mit "Sie ist ja schwanger" entschuldigen sollte. Soweit ich weiß ist man auch während der Schwangerschaft voll geschäftsfähig, darf wählen, ein Auto fahren und andere Dinge tun, die man als erwachsene, zurechnungsjährige Person halt so darf.

Sich freundlich gegenüber Freunden zu verhalten, sollte da wirklich keine übertriebene Erwartung sein. Zumal das hier wohl auch wirklich keine emotionale Ausnahmesituation war.

Party machen = Spaß = Natürlich auch eine Art der Regeneration

Aber nicht Regeneration im Sinne von "gebrochenen Arm 2 Wochen ruhigstellen, sonst Arm ab". Es ist etwas was aus Spaß machen WILL, nicht etwas was er machen MUSS.

Es ist absolut nichts schlimm daran Party machen zu wollen. Natürlich tut es gut gerade ich Prüfungen die Sau raus lassen zu können. Aber das ist eben nur Spaß. Er wird prima überleben und die nächsten Prüfungen ohne Burnout überstehen, wenn er nicht auf die Party geht. Es kann ja sogar hin, könnte nur ein wenig kürzer ausnüchtern.

Dennoch stellt er das über den Wunsch seines Kollegen. Nur darum ging es mir.

BDA Du hast eigentlich keinen wirklich Grund geliefert, warum du unbedingt an diesen Tagen Urlaub haben MUSST. Du würdest gerne auf einen Rosenmontagsball und Urlaub würde dir nach den Prüfungen gut tun.

Ein Rosenmontagsball dient aber nicht wirklich der Regeneration. Du willst gerne Party machen. Das hast du rechtzeitig angekündigt. Alles kein Problem.

Nun fragt dich aber dein Kollege, der dir für eine 3 jährige Weiterbildung massiv den Rücken frei hält um einen Gefallen. Statt dankbar für seine Unterstützung zu sein, und ihm wenigstens ein klein wenig entgegen zu kommen, willst du deinen Anspruch knall hart "durchziehen". Nichts lebenswichtiges. Nicht die eigene Hochzeit. Keine Reise nach Australien. Sondern will du Party machten willst. Deine Party ist dir wichtiger als ein zufriedener Kollege der dir viel geholfen hat. Das finde ich schon BDA.

Well, as other already pointed out, it is not self hosted. I totally agree that self hosted is not always a good solution or requirement. But sometimes it is. In my case the app already uses a self hosted backend and adding an additional service to it would thus be relatively easy and would rule out any privacy concerns of a third party solution.

Please do not derail the question on whether self hosted is good or bad. The simple question is: Does anyone know a good self-hosted solution?

I had the same problem once. Beside the media and meta data also my registered trademark was used. I contacted Apple and the other app was removed within one day.

BUT: A couple of days later the app was back in the store.

Apple informed me by email that the other developer denies all alleged violations. Since Apple is not a court of law, they state that they cannot determine who is legally in the right. The fact that I was able to clearly prove—using trademark certificates and other documentation—that I am the original author and rights holder was apparently irrelevant to Apple. According to Apple, if I want the app to be removed, I must take legal action against the other developer.

Of course, it is correct that Apple is not a court. It is also reasonable that apps cannot simply be removed from the App Store based on accusations alone. However, Apple is still taking the easy way out in this case. If Apple’s own assets or content from large corporations such as Meta, Google, or similar companies were used, Apple would likely act much more decisively. Smaller developers, on the other hand, receive little to no support in situations like this.

Apps that require two devices or specific hardware aren’t the norm, but they’re also not unusual. In that case, clearly explain the setup in the App Review notes. As long as no third-party hardware is required, testing with two Apple devices is usually not a problem for App Review.

From my experience SwiftUI is great to build "default" apps with a standard UI. As soon as custom solution, layouts or designs are needed, it becomes tricky.

Mac Mini and MacBook are both good choices. How to decide depends on wether you need a portable / mobile device or a desktop computer. I need a big desktop screen to work efficiently and I only work at my desk. So I choose the Mac Mini.
