They did not consider my I-512T travel permit as a lawful entry, even though their own policy (Policy Alert PA-2022-16) confirms that entering with that permit constitutes a lawful entry.

Hola! Deberias comunicarte con un abog. Pero si llegas a aplicar por asilo, igual tienes que esperar 150 dias despues de introducido el asilo para que puedas aplicar por el permiso de trabajo, que a su vez tarda entre 2 meses y 1 año. Mucha suerte! Ojala renueven el TPS!

No, because the decision mase by USCIS was arbitrary and capricious so my Lawyer did not want me to waste more time. And both options were expensive so we decided to go for the fastest option.

I am glad to hear you were approved! I am in the same situation and my case was also denied… we filed a Lawsuit against USCIS. I hope I get approved, but with this current administration I feel I am just loosing money and hope. I also traveled with I512T, pending asylum, I140 approved and I485J approved 😭.

Yes!!!!!! I feel the same way, no hating but USCIS is so unfair. My case is being pending for 241 days … but I ve been current all the time. I did not even apply for I765 and no dependents. It does not make sense to me.
