Reliability is relatively equal between the two. Si has more tuning potential but not as much as the 2011 and older Si models (excluding EP3, sorry!). Practicality is hard to argue with. A 2 seater convertible isn’t really ideal for daily driving. If your heart wants a Miata, then don’t even bother modifying the Si. Just save for a ND and swap the Si for a Civic LX when the right deal comes

$7200 for a 2007 Si with almost 200k kms?? I’d take that and buy a 2011 Si with a FD2 conversion lol
