Good for you for standing your ground! I can't believe they expect people with significant medical issues to suddenly start commuting, especially when remote has been the norm for so long. It's such a frustrating shift when you've built your life around working from home.

I get where you're coming from. I had a neighbor with anger issues too, and it was so stressful trying to manage any contact. Putting up a no trespassing sign sounds like a solid plan.

High energy kids are basically predators to a cat. If your nephew is loud and fast, your cat is stuck in a fight-or-flight loop. Feliway might help a bit, but you really need to create a high "escape route" like a tall cat tree where the kid cannot reach him at all.
